Dear Mr de László

Thank you so very much for the beautiful picture you so kindly sent me by car. I am quite delighted with it & it will

be one of my cherished treasures to take back to Africa & will have a place of honour on my walls there.

I am so glad your time of suspense waiting for your new son is over.[2]

I am so glad it is such a fine child & that Mrs de László is well.

I leave here to-day for Bath for 10 days or I should have left a card of enquiry on your wife.

With kindest regards & renewed grateful thanks. | Sincerely yours,

Jessie Slater
