Nookazon: Trade Agent Service

Introduction

Nookazon has a dedicated team of approved moderators called Trade Agents who are able to assist with specific high-value trades. This is a service we are providing with the intent of protecting users who are engaging in trades that are vulnerable to scamming.

Currently, this service is limited to Villagers, Artwork, NMT for Bells trades and some Materials - we may expand this service in the future to assist with other tradeable items. By reading through this document, both parties who are involved in the trade agree to the terms and procedures withheld in the document.

The Buyer and Seller must discuss and agree to trade terms before reaching out for assistance. The trade as described in the request will be considered binding and final. Failure to respect this rule may lead to administrative actions.

⚠️ Both parties must review, understand, and accept all conditions of this service as detailed in this document before filing a request. Failure to do so may result in a warning, bite or ban from all Nookazon services.

⚠️ Nookazon has a zero tolerance policy in place against any kind of hate speech. If your island, villager’s name or villager’s catchphrase includes any kind of offensive slurs or hate speech in any form, Nookazon has the right to remove you from the trading platform entirely.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is the Trade Agent service free-of-charge?

Yes! This service is offered as a courtesy by the Nookazon Discord moderation team. It is accessible to members of the Nookazon website and Discord server, but tips are always welcomed and appreciated.

Is this service always available? How fast is it?

As this is a free service with very strictly approved Agents, you might not receive an immediate response, and unfortunately, there is a risk that we won’t have the time or resources to assist with every request! When you submit your request, you are welcome to suggest a particular time frame that suits your trade best, but please understand we cannot always guarantee our ability to assist in that time. We may still attempt to reach you past that timeframe to assist you with the requested trade.

An agent will only reach out once they are confident in their ability to assist you. If you do not receive a response, we do apologize and encourage you to review the Safe Trading Guide to try and perform the trade independently! Trade Agent services take time and patience to ensure both ends of the trade are met for the Buyer and Seller. Some trades can take upwards of 3 to 4 hours. If you are unable to dedicate this amount of time to a trade, please do not request for the service until you are able to do so. If for whatever reason a Trade Agent service has to be canceled midway through, a new Trade Agent form will have to be submitted.

Since villager trades are very time sensitive, please do keep this in mind when requesting a Trade Agent service.

How does Nookazon decide who is approved as a Trade Agent?

Trade Agent services are only performed by Nookazon moderators who have been approved for the process. They have an established relationship with the community, have an abundance of experience with trading, and receive training as well as support for performing this service. Our Agents are also trained on identifying potential scams.

How do I report issues with a Trade Agent?

Any concerns with the process, or with an Agent’s involvement with your trade, can be sent via DM on Discord to @Nguyen299#1808 for review. Agents are held to very high standards, therefore any accusations of dishonesty, theft, or unreliability are taken very seriously.

Participant Requirements

  • The Buyer and Seller must discuss and agree to trade terms before reaching out for assistance. The trade as described in the request will be considered binding and final.
  • It is best that both parties have a Nookazon account.
  • Both parties must be able to communicate with the Agent via Discord Direct Messages (DMs).
  • Both parties must cooperate with the Agent and follow all procedures and instructions.
  • All parties must exit islands via the Airport gate (no minus button exits).

⚠️ Failure to follow our guidelines, or observed attempts to scam/abuse other players, will result in that user losing access to all Nookazon services.

⚠️ Trade Agents cannot be held responsible for any hidden breach of the terms of the trades, such as an Ungifted Villager being Gifted.

⚠️ Neither Nookazon nor the Trade Agents will be able to provide reimbursement or replacement in case of breach of the terms or change of mind.

How to submit your request

  1. One party (preferably the buyer) will fill out the Google Form as linked in the #🕵trade-agent-services channel on Discord
  2. An Agent will reach out when they are able to assist with the trade
  3. A Group Chat DM will be set up between all parties, but private DMs will also be sent between the Agent and each trader during the process

⚠️ By submitting a request, both users agree to be contacted via Discord. If either party is unable or unwilling to communicate through Discord, the request will be denied due to failure to meet our Trade Agent service requirements.

Villager Trades

Villager trades are sensitive to scams as it is possible for either user to deceive or use gameplay mechanics to steal either the villager or the payment. By involving an Agent who is familiar with the process, we can prevent scammers from being able to use these methods, and ensure both parties receive what they agree upon. With Villager trades, what is required from both parties are as follows:

  • The Seller has a villager who is in boxes and ready to move out.
  • The Buyer has currency or items to exchange for the ability to invite the villager to their island and an open plot.

✱ Please note that due to the restrictions of the current game mechanics, Sanrio villagers cannot be traded.

The trade must meet the following condition:

  • Trade value: Greater than 100 NMT/allowed materials or 1,000,000 Bells AND less than 2,500 NMT/allowed materials or 50,000,000 bells

Procedure

  1. The Seller and Buyer will receive friend requests from the Trade Agent. This must be accepted to proceed.
  2. The Agent, Seller, and Buyer join a group DM to establish communication and confirm the trade details.
  1. The Agent will identify themselves clearly, allowing both users an opportunity to confirm their identity and reliability by searching for their ID on the Nookazon Discord server.
  1. The Agent visits Seller’s island to confirm the villager is in boxes, using a private Dodo Code™.
  1. Why? This confirms that the villager in question is actually available.
  2. How? The Agent visits the house to look at the villager and see that they are in boxes. They will speak to the villager once to confirm they are in the moving out process and not already moving to another island, or in the process of moving onto Seller’s island. They take a photo as proof.
  1. The Buyer visits the Agent’s island via private Dodo Code™ to drop payment. Agent confirms the amount before the Buyer leaves.
  1. Why? This ensures that the actual amount of currency has been provided, with a chance for the buyer to double-check and correct if needed.
  1. The Buyer visits Seller’s island via Dodo Code™ shared in Group DM, and collects the villager.
  2. The Buyer provides confirmation to Group DM of the villager moving in within 1 hour of the trade completion.
  1. Why? This confirms that the buyer has successfully obtained the villager and their end of the trade is satisfied.
  1. The Agent releases payment to Seller via private Dodo Code™.
  2. The Agent confirms both ends of the deal were met before ending communication with both parties.

What if the Buyer does not confirm they received the villager?

If confirmation is not received from the Buyer within 1 hour of them receiving their villager, the trade will be assumed successful. The Agent will then release the payment to the Seller. This prevents payment from sitting in limbo, and allows an opportunity to correct any mistakes made in attempting to pick up the villager.

What if the trade is villager-for-villager?

Unfortunately, Nookazon does not support villager-for-villager trades due to the high number of related scams, and the lack of methods/tools to protect both parties. Even if there is no intent to scam, things could happen between trades that result in the second trader being unable to fulfill their end of the trade!

If you and another person would like to trade villagers, you must treat it as two separate transactions for a currency value that is mutually agreed on. This way, if something goes wrong between the villager transactions, the ‘victim’ is not left empty-handed.

Example of a safe villager-for-villager trade:

  • Trade One: Seller trades out Audie for 300 NMT
  • Trade Two: Buyer trades out Marshal for 300 NMT

Artwork Trades

An artwork trade involves the paintings/statues that are sold by Redd. These items have a 50% chance of being a ‘fake’, which is a trait that can only be identified by examining the item in-game, by attempting to donate them to the museum, or being sold to Timmy and Tommy. By involving an Agent in this trade, you are eliminating the possibility of an artwork being claimed to be real when it is actually fake. With Artwork trades, what is required from both parties are as follows:

  • The Seller is selling the artwork and currently owns said artwork.
  • The Buyer has currency to exchange for the artwork.

The trade must meet one or both of the following conditions:

  • Quantity: Trade involves at least 3 artwork pieces
  • Trade Value: Greater than 100 NMT/allowed materials or 1,000,000 Bells AND less than 2,500 NMT/allowed materials or 50,000,000 bells

Procedure

  1. The Seller and Buyer will receive friend requests from the Trade Agent. This must be accepted to proceed.
  2. The Agent, Seller, and Buyer join a group DM to establish communication and confirm the trade details.
  1. The Agent will identify themselves clearly, allowing both users an opportunity to confirm their identity and reliability by searching for their ID on the Nookazon Discord server.
  1. The Seller visits the Agent’s island via private Dodo Code™, drops off artwork, and leaves the island.
  1. Why? So the Trade Agent is able to place the paintings in order to take a closer look at them to ensure they are the specified variant promised in the trade agreement.
  1. The Agent restricts access to the paintings before inviting the Buyer to their island.
  1. Why? To ensure the Seller’s end of the deal is protected.
  1. Once the artwork is confirmed, the Buyer visits the Agent’s island and drops their end of the trade. After confirmation of the correct agreed upon purchase price, the Buyer will receive the artwork.
  2. The Buyer leaves the Agent’s island and the Seller receives the payment.
  3. The Agent confirms both ends of the deal were met before ending communication with both parties.

What if both parties are trading artwork?

For the time being, Nookazon Trade Agent service will only carry out currency trade for Artwork trades. If you both wish to trade artwork, it will be treated as two separate transactions.

Example of art for art trades:

  • Trade One: Seller offering Great Statue and Famous Painting for 200 NMT
  • Trade Two: Buyer offering Serene Painting, Motherly Statue, and Nice Painting for 300 NMT

How can a Trade Agent confirm that the art is real/fake?

Nookazon’s Trade Agents have been equipped with the necessary tools/methods to ensure they are able to adequately tell the difference between the two types of art with little room for error.

Nook Miles Tickets-Bell Exchange Trades

A NMT-Bell trade includes exchanging Nook Miles Tickets (NMT) in exchange for Bells. Often users may want to purchase NMT using bells as it has become a popular way of payment in Animal Crossing. NMTs can also be used to travel to mystery islands to find potentially high valued villagers for reselling. By involving an Agent, you are preventing the chance of a possible scam and loss of Bells and/or NMTs. With NMT-Bell trades, what is required from both parties are as follows:

  • The Seller has NMTs to sell for Bells.
  • The Buyer has Bells to purchase NMTs.

The trade must meet one of the following conditions:

  • Trade Value: Greater than 100 NMT or 1,000,000 Bells and less than 2,500 NMT or 50,000,000 bells

Procedure:

  1. The Seller and Buyer will receive friend requests from the Trade Agent. This must be accepted to proceed.
  2. The Agent, Seller, and Buyer join a group DM to establish communication and confirm the trade details.
  1. The Agent will identify themselves clearly, allowing both users an opportunity to confirm their identity and reliability by searching for their ID on the Nookazon Discord server.
  1. The Seller visits the Agent’s island via private Dodo Code™, drops off the NMTs, and leaves the island.
  2. The Agent confirms the correct amount of NMTs to the Buyer.
  3. The Agent restricts access to the NMTs and invites the Buyer to their island to drop off their Bells.  
  1. Why? To ensure the Seller’s end of the deal is protected.
  1. The Agent confirms the correct amount of Bells and releases the Buyers purchase of NMTs.
  2. The Buyer leaves the Agent’s island and the Seller returns to the Agent’s island to receive their payment.
  3. The Agent confirms both ends of the deal were met before ending communication with both parties.

Materials Trades

By involving an Agent, you are preventing the chance of a possible scam and loss of Materials.


Currently, the list of allowed materials include:

  • Gold Nuggets
  • Pearls
  • Snowflakes
  • Large Snowflakes
  • Cherry-Blossom Petals
  • Star Fragments
  • Large Star Fragments
  • Zodiacal Star Fragments

Keep in mind that this list may be expanded in the future, but currently, we only allow Trade Agent requests for the materials listed here.
