Dear Sir

I thank you for your letter.[1] The matter I referred to[2] was a “picture” by Mr de Laszlo which is at present exhibited in a window of an obscure cafe next door to the Uxbridge Rd. Station (x Shepherd’s Bush)  it is called the White City Café.

The subject of the picture is an Italian? peasant girl holding a tambourine.[3] It is I should say an early work & would be to his interest to acquire it.

Yours faithfully,

W. Elstow
