We all talk about our rights and liberties yet few of us ever sit down to discuss them intelligently. The time has come for you to participate in a wiki in an intelligent manner.
Now that you have analyzed the basic information of both the U.S. and Minnesota Constitutions, you will be engaging in a wiki discussion about each document’s guarantees of individual rights. In this lesson, your intelligent participation in the wiki discussion will help to create a deeper understanding of how each document supports individual rights.
Benchmark 9.1.3.4.1:
Analyze the meaning and importance of rights in the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights and subsequent amendments; compare and contrast these with rights in the Minnesota Constitution.

In this activity, you will be analyzing the individual rights guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution and how they differ from the rights guaranteed in the Minnesota Constitution. In the activity 1.4 you completed a compare and contrast of both documents. For this activity, you will use your recently gained knowledge to analyze how the guaranteed rights differ in both documents.
