Minutes for August 20, 2014
This regular meeting of the William Jessup University Student Government was held on Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at 10:05 A.M., in Crossroads 103, the President, Vice President, Business Manager, Judicial Officer, and Off-Campus Representative being present.
The Judicial Officer opened the meeting in prayer.
The President read the proposed mission statement.
The President entertained a motion to approve the mission statement. The Vice President moved to make a motion and the Judicial Officer seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
The President reviewed the proposed budget.

The Business Manager moves to approve the budget as stands and the Vice President seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
The Business Manager presented the flyers for New Student Orientation.
The Student Government decided to print out flyers for NSO packets and election forms for the community fair.
The Vice President presented his vision for clubs. He wants to see more “fun” clubs.
The Business Manager asked what NSO events the rest of the student government was planning on going to.
The President went over possible marketing methods and brought up making a marketing matrix.
The Off Campus Representative brought up text alerts as a marketing strategy and having students sign up for them at NSO. The Off Campus Representative brought up screen ads. The Business Manager brought up having booths at sports games. The President brought up ambiguous posters.

The President brought up meeting times.
The Business Manager moved to have the date of the upcoming elections on September 26, 2014, the Judicial Officer seconded. The Off Campus Representative moved to amend the date to September 24,2014, the Business Manager seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
The Business Manager moved to establish general meetings to tentatively be held Tuesday afternoons from 3:00 pm-4:00 pm. The Junior Class Representative seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
The President entertained a motion to adjourn the meeting. The Judicial officer moved to adjourn the meeting and the Business Manager seconded. The motion passed 5-1 with dissenting vote from the Vice President.
