Course Description

The class focuses on the interpretation of poetic texts. The class provides a panorama of Latin American poets.

Course Objectives

The student will become familiar with the most representative works of poets born in Latin America including authors from Brazil.

Program

Methodology

From the readings and class lectures the student will understand, analyze, and interpret poetic texts. There will be in class discussion over the poetic texts and the student’s thoughts about the topics and readings. The readings focus on the comprehension and interpretation of texts that will be of use in different fields of study, not just this class.
