TiVo’s latest update (20.7.2) has again broken features used by Enter Webz
Only apps listed under “music” and “photos” show up at the bottom of the new “Apps” list. I have moved all “video” content (and this notice) into “photos” and I have moved the games into a new “Games/” group in “photos” so you have some access to them.
For other content, select an Enter Webz group (or the “Edit Enter Webz” banner), then click PLAY to see the topmost group and you can find your way to the group you want.
As a reminder, TiVo broke MP4 videos in Enter Webz, but MPEG2 and MPEG1 still work (notably in Archive On Demand)
As a reminder, TiVo broke MP3 audio in Enter Webz for some TiVo models - if Radio Auricle and other audio features aren’t working for you, that’s why.
I have an Opera TV version of Archive On Demand almost done, but Opera TV’s terms of service are an obstacle because of unrated content on archive.org - I’ll see if I can get a good solution.

December 2016 TiVo Update

TiVo’s latest update has again broken features used by Enter Webz.
MP4 (aka MPEG4 or H.264) Videos no longer play correctly. MPEG2 Videos are still OK.
This means about two thirds of “Archive On Demand” videos don’t work right, as well as most website video links.
MP3 audio (all music, audiobooks, etc.) now gives an error when attempted on Roamio and Mini models.
This means Radio Auricle, and all website mp3/radio content don’t work at all except on Premiere and older.
I’ve heard even TiVo Desktop’s music feature and Spotify are broken due to this.

In order to fix this, I need YOU to contact TiVo and complain about the broken MP4 and MP3 features, and hopefully they will fix it in the next update. Based on the last time they broke things, it may not be fixed until February (if ever) unless more people complain.

February: TiVo fixed “Add an App” feature broken in December
Custom Video Player brings back some in-page video to newer TiVos (TiVo made their player unavailable on those models).
Older models can get TiVo’s old player back with advanced Video Player setting of “204.176.49.116:7288/videoplayer”
Custom Archive.org app “Archive on Demand” replaces all archive.org thumztaks with a custom browser. Enjoy public domain streamed movies, tv, audio books, etc.
Remove no-longer compatible links: PBS Videos, Yahoo Screen, others.
consolidate top-level apps some more - mostly moved them under “Games & More/”

Fall 2015

Games: Added WordSmythe a custom replacement for TiVo’s “WordSmith” that also tracks high scores and shows Live TV
Updated broken radio station for slideshow.
October: TiVo released Bolt with a broken “Add an App” feature :(
December: TiVo update broke “Add an App” on Roamio, Mini, and Premiere, too :(

Added new game “Jems” (like Rockswap) by R. Van Iwaarden to Games & More/ group.

TiVo Inc has removed all the games. Contact me for games you’d like added!
Also added early versions of TiVo’s Skull & Bones and Samegame

Removed YouTube page and added notice when a YouTube video is attempted. TiVo Inc removed the player EWz uses. Will update if/when a workaround is created (will likely require installing a program on your home computer).
Updated across-the-top remote hints on all apps with a better look.
Added Fandango mobile site to More Video & TV/ group

Overdue navigation updates

“Cursor” changed to a floating “underline” and sides (and doesn’t treat each style change and image as separate links)
Forms with no “submit” button (usually search fields) now have a small one added automatically.

Both of those may get stylistic updates in the future.

Unfortunately, vine.co only servers HTTPS videos and TiVo only supports HTTP, so vines don’t actually work.

You can now select the model of Remote Control you’re using so help/hints match what it says. The option is in the “info” menu.

EnterWebz.tv will now get occasional updates to App links.

Updates will move and rename default ones to better organize them, remove or replace default ones that no longer work, and add new ones for you to enjoy.

This feature will also be used for News & Notices like this one.

This update changes the following App links:

Add the “PBS Episodes” video group with their three main pages, and a selection of particular programs with a lot of available videos.
Replace Shoutcast Internet Radio (no longer works with Enter Webz) with Internet Radio (mobile.internet-radio.com)
Remove Twitter (will be restored when Twitter and my hosting provider resolve their networking conflict)
Remove Amazon Video Library if you had it - requesting a download doesn’t actually start one.
Move IMDB from “More Video” to a top-level video App
Add TiVo’s hidden Dominos app to “Shopping”
Move most top-level apps to “More” Apps Group
Add TiVo’s full app list link to “More”
Change Solitaire, Freecell, and Mahjongg to non-permanent Apps you may edit as desired.
A permanent “*Edit Enter Webz App List*” link was added (at the bottom of both “photos” and other apps lists) which takes you to the “Apps” Group.
