Sample Tutoring Schedule
Purpose: to promote the principle of hard work, a love for reading and writing, to facilitate him in reaching his goals in these areas, memorize math facts, and to spend one on one time with him.
Weekly Goals to Accomplish Purpose: A minimum of 3 tutoring sessions/week or a total of 2 ½ hours per week of tutoring in reading, writing, and spelling. In addition, 30 minutes per school day reading to a parent. Math facts to be reviewed every school day.

Journal Writing Time with Dad - 15 min.
TTD Each Week
-Come up with 4 Spelling lessons(3- 15 min. and 1 - 30 min.) that take a logical approach to memorizing english spelling rules, commonly used words, and phonics. Use the Spelling Pathways lessons, spelling rules songs, and as many tactile, visual, and audio learning experiences as possible.
-Make a list of books. Keep the house stocked with books that are interesting and challenging enough to read and explore together.
-Line up and prepare in advance for activities with weekly spelling words that will allow for visual, audio, and tactile learning styles to be used 1x/week (Wed.) plus in Saturday 30 min. spelling lessons.
-Prepare 30 min. worth of writing activities to be held on Saturdays on handwriting and organization. Prepare activities that seem useful and use knowledge from the spelling lessons, books read, or things interested in.
-Encourage at least 15 min. of journal writing on Sundays
