The children will:

  • Demonstrate that solids can be change by cutting, folding, bending and melting.
  • Demonstrate that liquids can be changed by freezing and melting.

How can solids and liquids change?

  1. Display a sheet of paper.
  2. Ask: Is this paper a solid or a liquid? ( A solid) What can you do to the paper to change it? (Cut, fold, bend, and color it) Demonstrate these actions and display the results. Is this still paper? (Yes)
