Role of living kidney transplant champions
The key role of the Living Kidney Transplant champion (LKTC) is to share their experience of a living kidney donor recipient or living kidney donor with someone who is considering living kidney donation, either as a patient or a potential donor. One of the two Outreach Workers will share the contact details of the LKTC with a suitable patient or a potential donor so that they can contact the champion. The champion will share their experience and report the outcome to the Outreach Worker. It is anticipated that for some patients, there may be a need to have several conversations between the LKTC and the patient/potential donor.
A half-day training will be provided to all applicants before the role as a champion is confirmed. This voluntary role will be for a fixed period between May 2022 and March 2023. Please complete your form by the 8th April 2022.
