In this issue
“As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” But not all have obeyed the good news; for Isaiah says, “Lord, who believed our message?” So, faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.”
-Romans 10: 15-17
Lost and Found
We have many great clothing items on display from our Lost and Found, on several tables at the front of the school. The students have been encouraged to look through the items and parents are welcome to do the same when they are dropping off or picking up their children. The clothing, which has been on display for a week, will be donated next week, after Family Day.
The St. Stephen Green Team is continuing to encourage all students to bring in Litterless lunches. Each time a student brings a litterless lunch to school, their name will be entered in a draw to win a weekly Eco-friendly prize. More information can be found at:
The Term One report cards will be sent home with the students on Wednesday, February 15th. We encourage all parents to read the report with their children and discuss their progress and next steps. There will be no formal interview period to discuss these reports, but interviews are always available upon request.
Tuesday, February 14th is a very exciting day as it is Valentine’s Day. We always encourage students who are bringing Valentines to bring a class set, so that everyone feels included. For the blended Junior classes, students can bring a class set for their homeroom classes in the morning. If the students want to bring Valentines for their afternoon classes as well, they are welcome to do so. We would prefer if students did not bring treats in for their classmates on Valentine’s Day, due to allergies in the classes.
A reminder to parents that Kindergarten registration at our school is ongoing. If you have a child who is turning four during 2017 you can stop by our office and register your child for 2017-18 school year. We look forward to seeing you!
A reminder that Monday, February 20th is Family Day. There will be no school that day as the students and staff will observe this provincial holiday.
