Chapter 1

Answer these questions about the text.

Remember to use full sentences when answering the questions.

  1. Why is it really hard to see Pinders parakeets?

It´s hard to see pinder parakeets because there always deep in the woods in the tree tops.

2. Why did Mr McBride bring along a sound recording of the parakeet’s call?

The only reason why Mr McBride brought his sound recorder of the pinder parakeet is so the students will know the sound of them when they go looking for them.

3. What did the class do when Mr McBride turned on the CD on his computer?

The class went in shock seeing the poor Pinder Parakeet looking half dead when Mr McBride turned on his CD Computer.

4. What do you think will happen next??

I think the class and Mr McBride will catch the poachers and put them in jail and save the pinder parakeets and that is what i think is going to happen next.

Jessie did not feel good because Drawers,paper spilling out of them , were open boxes and envelopes lay all over the table. Some books from Miss Carter’s shelves all piled up on the floor.

2. Why did Jessie want to talk to Miss Carter about not moving?

Jessie wanted to talk to  Miss Carter about not moving because jessie didn’t want Miss Carter to move because jessie wanted to keep on visting her.

Jessie helped Marrick back up by getting down on her hands and knees and dangled her sleeve from her jumper and tied it to a tree

3. Do you think Marrick and Jessie were serious when they talked about Miss Carter? Explain your reasons.

Marrick and Jessie were serious about Miss Carter because of how old she was and she is forgetful

4. Why was Miss Carter going to shift into a rest home? (There are several reasons)

Maybe the only reason why Miss Carter was going shift in  to a rest home because she burnt her food and she thought she was going to burn the house down if she did it again.

5. Why did Jessie think her parents thought that Miss Carter’s nephew did not even want to own her house?

The only reason why Jessies mum and dad  thought that Miss Carters because she´ s forgotful  and shes ninety-two.

Jessieś mum felt sad of Miss Carterś fire because sometimes she wished she´ll get rid of it even though she loves it

The poachers were not expecting anyone to find them because they thought they were the only people on the sea but jessie and Marrick told the police and they found them.

Jessies dad did not want Miss Carter to know what Marrick and Jessie did because he did’nt want Miss Carter to know how much danger they went though because it will hurt Miss Carter and she would be very sad and angry at Marrick and Jessie.
