The series this time is called “Cash Cow Concede.” As usual, the listener series is a great, low-stress way to get into competitive hearthstone in a best-of-3 conquest format, with one match per week that you flexibly schedule with your opponent. We do about 4-5 weeks of Swiss rounds followed by a top 8 playoffs. Compete for Coin Concede glory!

• Battlegrounds Updates

• Effects that cast Tavern Spells have been updated so that now you cast those spells (Temporal Tampering, Untamed Sorcery, Mindflayer Goggles, and Replica Cathedral). This change means that they now trigger effects based on when you cast a spell.
• Nether Pendant now only applies to damage taken on your turn, not in combat.

• Arena Season Update

• When Patch 30.4 launches, all current Arena runs will end and a new Arena season will begin. Arena will remain Dual-class for this season. The Arena pool will be adjusted so that the following sets make up the Arena card pool this season:

• Progression Updates

• New Gameplay Achievements have been added to five expansions that didn’t have Achievements before! Rise of Shadows, Saviors of Uldum, Descent of Dragons, Ashes of Outland, and Scholomance Academy now each have an Achievement for each class in that set, plus a neutral Achievement.

• Bug Fixes and Game Improvements

• [Hearthstone] Adaptive Amalgam and Immortal Prelate will now return with functional Divine Shield or Stealth if it was granted to them and then consumed before they were destroyed.
• [Hearthstone] Updated Zephrys the Great (the original one) to account for Locations.
• [Hearthstone] Bayfin Bodybuilder’s cap on sequential activations has been raised and now activates as minions are summoned when an effect summons several minions, instead of having the effect summon all the minions first and then having Bodybuilder’s effect trigger on all of them at once.
• [Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where a Lifesteal minion with the Cursed Souvenir effect on it wouldn’t gain life back when it dealt you damage at the start of your turns.
• [Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where forced attacks (like Gnome Muncher and Illidari Inquisitor) wouldn’t work after the minion was put to sleep by Sleepy Resident.
• [Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where Narain Soothfancy’s Fortunes could change form in the middle of a Battlecry that would play them.
• [Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where Sanc’Azel wouldn’t keep Caricature Artist’s funny mustache while in location form.
• [Cosmetic] Fixed a bug where a Minion Sandwich generated by a Golden The Ryecleaver wouldn’t be Golden. Now it looks more appetizing.

• Ragnaros the Firelord: $60/6000 runestones, comes with 3 Warrior packs and 3 Shaman packs

• Not-Ragnaros portraits: Leyara (Druid), Steamraider Nozdormu (Paladin)

• Returning portraits for gold: Mal’ganis (Warlock), Kael’thas Sunstrider (Mage), Edwin the Renegade (Rogue)

• New signature bundles: Hemet Foam Marksman, Raza the Chained, and Barnes (hi Mattatarms!)

CCLS - “All You Can Beat Buffet”

Lineups:

• In Week 5 (pre-miniset), Shaman, Death Knight, Paladin, and Druid were the most popular brings, with a smattering of other classes (Zarimi Priest and Warlock still saw some play but had finally reached the end of their popularity).

Results:

SSJ5GOKU, pylet712, ythehunter, joltc, book9624, bhongwater, DoctorBOMD, and probiwan

Highlights:

• WorldEight (drum druid) vs. Dfinberg (pre-miniset big spell mage):

• Starting on turn 6, WorldEight and dfinberg traded drum circles and tsunamis almost every turn until turn 10. (WorldEight posted the replay in discord with the Cho and Gall BGs emoji screaming “I want to scam stats!” “No, I want to scam stats!” “No no I really want to scam stats!”) Ultimately WorldEight just had too much reload and taunt and claimed victory, though dfinberg pointed out in the discord that in retrospect he had a better way to clear on 9 and that might well have won him the game. Still, maybe drum circle druid is the answer to BSM… 🤔

• HiddenJester (ramp druid) vs. Glacier (ramp druid):

• By the end of turn 8 HiddenJester had 14 mana and had stuck a Dorian for two full turns, while Glacier had 7 mana and no discounted stuff. And yet the game went on for nine more turns. Glacier got a Yogg out just in time to clear. HiddenJester played four Marins. Glacier got Greybough off a Zarog’s Crown and made a very sticky wall. HiddenJester played a golden kobold and got Magtheridon, Sylvanas, and Replicator-inator (which has great hits to copy in Druid!). Glacier held on until turn 17 but eventually lost as Mag cleared the greyboughs and the four Marins gave HiddenJester unbeatable value.
