ENEMY ALIENS.

Our Parliamentary Correspondent states that the Aliens Advisory Committee specially met at Westminster yesterday, in order to prepare for the additional duties which the Home Secretary intends to impose upon them. Mr. Justice Sankey presided, and Mr. Justice Younger, Lord Lambourne, and Sir Donald Maclean attended. Formed eight months after the commencement of the war, the Committee’s chief function has been to advise the Home Office upon applications by enemy aliens for exemption from internment or repatriation. Sir George Cave now proposes to appoint additional members, the better to review and revise the list of men exempted from internment and the women exempted from repatriation. Yesterday the Committee confined themselves to matters of procedure in relation to their fresh obligations.
