Lot 300 - Hillcrest Genetics – Steve Clark – 620-330-2109 – Havana, KS – 24 Black and Mottle Faced 1st Calf Pairs – Steve brings front end pairs every year. These heifers will have calves on their side by Hillcrest Angus Bulls born in January and February. You would look long and hard to find nicer young cows than what Hillcrest brings to the McCabe sale each and every year. These pairs are tested PI negative and the cows have been OCVed. The pairs are worked and ready for grass!
The first 15 have older calves born in December and there are 10 Black cows and 5 Baldy cows.
The remaining 9 have calves born in February. There are 8 black cows and 1 baldy.
Lot 325 - Pickett Ranch – 620-332-3743 – Longton, KS – 26 Black and Red Baldy 1st Calf Pairs – Greg Pickett has buyers waiting on these every year he sells some. These are home raised heifers that are sired by McCabe Hereford Bulls and McCabe Angus Bulls and have calves at side sired by McCabe Angus bulls born in January and early February. These are the type of females that are hard to find. There is 1 Red Baldy on these. Heifers are OCVed.
Lot 350 - Shawn Mills – 620-205-8100 – Moline, KS – 20 Black 1st Calf Pairs – This is a special set of young cows that will do everything right. These heifers are home raised by Shawn and part of them will have F1 Baldy calves sired by Sensation and the Black calves will be sired by McCabe Angus Bulls. Calves will have been born in March. These pairs will be ready to go anywhere. The cows have been OCVed and are PI Negative.
Lot 400 - Milner Hay and Cattle – 620-212-2524 – Welda, KS – 60 Black and Black Baldy 1st Calf Pairs – These are really nice females that he bought out of our sale last year and should make an incredible set of cows. Calved from February 8 through March 10. The calves are AI sired by Connealy Comrade and a son of 6EM3. They are PI tested negative and OCVed.
Lot 425 - Corwin Farms – 785-893-4528 – Overbrook, Ks - 14 Black and Black Baldy 1st Calf Pairs – Really nice set of pairs here! These females were purchased from McCabe Genetics as bred heifers. Calves will be born in March and early April with calves sired by McCabe Angus Bulls. Even though they might not be quite calved out by sale day we guarantee live calves and will be ready for pickup later in April. All of them are PI tested negative and heifers are OCVed.
Lot 450 - JLB Ranch – 316-435-4035 – Fall River, KS - 120 Black 1st Pairs – These South Dakota origin heifers will do it all! 50 of these have March 1 – March 12 calves and 70 have March 12 – March 24 calves. The calves are all sired by Jorgenson bulls. This herd is on a total Zoetis health program and a shot of Multimin at birth. For an additional $15 per pair the calves and cows will be worked and ready to go to pasture.

Heifers are ultrasounded and will be grouped for calving dates. These are 1 Iron heifers from the Mark Neville Estate. Mark bought really good McCabe bulls for the past several years. Heifers have been pelvic measured, and OCVed. 1 Red Baldy the buyer has the option on if they want.

They were AIed to McCabe Angus bulls and cleaned up with McCabe Genetics Angus Bulls. These heifers are either homerasied or were purchased from our good friend and customer Gary Cole. These heifers are due to calve September 19 for 45 days. Heifers have been tested PI negative, pelvic measured, and OCVed.
