Doi Suthep-Pui National Park is linked to its western side so it is home to low altitude forest, open country and paddy field birds. We will be visiting scrub, forest and rice fields. The ebird hotspot is “Tha Tum Paddies (Berngdin Organic Farm)”. We will start at the Bergndin Farm and walk about 3 km through a varied habitat of rice paddies, orchards, scrubland and marshes. Our walk will be along a flat, wide, well graded dirt road with light traffic. We should see a good variety of open country, scrub-loving and water-loving species with some raptors thrown in. We will finish our walk back at the farm where just across the road is a large man-made wetlands where we may see a variety of water birds.
