Students choose their favorite clothing brand, or the one they represented in the simulation above, and write a persuasive letter urging the company to adopt a set of labor standards, either based on the ones they offered in their company proposal or the ones adopted by the class in the labor standards conference.
In these letters students must:
- Introduce yourself and your purpose for writing.
- Write a thesis statement sharing your beliefs and WHY you believe them.
- Explain the issues identified in your research.
- Advocate for a particular policy to address problems in the garment industry.
