ROMANCE OF CHORUS GIRL’S PICTURE.
Famous Painter’s Gift to Member of Hippodrome Cast.
Mr. De Laszlo, the famous artist, has painted the portrait of Miss Adeline Walker [13294], one of the Hippodrome beauty chorus. It was hung in the vestibule of the theatre yesterday, in a draped alcove lit by hidden electric lights.
“About a year ago Miss Walker attended a London dance,” said an official of the Hippodrome last night to a “Daily Chronicle” representative, “and won a prize as the beauty of the night.” Then Mr. de Laszlo said to her, “I would love to paint your portrait, and I will give it to you when it is finished.”
