1. Design new and more detailed decision-making tools for meta-decisions to ensure who design algorithms and AI systems do the right thing and act in accordance with the ethical values of the company.
2. Engage with third parties for the design of AI algorithms only if they commit to similar ethical standards.
3. Create a multi-disciplinary Ethics Research Unit to probe the implications of AI research and potential applications.
4. Introduce ‘ethics tests’ for AI machines, where they are presented with an ethical dilemma.
5. Educate people through specific training courses and communication campaigns, to enable them to use AI systems efficiently, effectively, and ethically.
