Meet the Teachers:
My name is Miss Quadrozzi and I am so excited to be your child’s fifth grade teacher! This will be my sixth year teaching fifth grade. I will be the sole fifth grade Social Studies teacher while Mrs. Goodman will be teaching all of the Sciences.
I am a certified teacher in both Connecticut and Massachusetts. After graduating from Central Connecticut State University, I also became certified in Florida to become a fifth grade teacher there. After the school year, I missed my family, friends, and the crazy New England weather and moved back up north to be a permanent substitute in the Berkshires where I was born and raised. It has taken many moves and adjustments, but I am happy to say that I have fallen in love with the eastern side of the state as well as Dennett Elementary!
In my free time I love to stay active. As a college athlete, sports have been a major part of my life and has shaped me into the teacher I am today. Time management, leadership, and persistence are just a few of the qualities I hope to instill in my students. Additionally, in the fifth grade we emphasize the importance of being kind, empathetic individuals and will work hard on this goal all year...I also hope to have a little fun while doing so!
As you can see, I have been in a classroom for the last 8 years and have much experience in a variety of classrooms and situations. I have no doubt that this year will be a successful one through the teamwork of you, our students, and myself. I am looking forward to having a wonderful school year together!
I’ve been at Dennett since 2006 and have enjoyed teaching and getting to know Plympton students and families. My name is Elizabeth Goodman and I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself both professionally and personally. I completed my undergraduate studies at the Simmons College and will complete my Master’s this year.
I love reading, but have a math brain. My interests have run the gamut from the Crew team in college to completing a triathlons and running a half marathon. Currently, my favorite activities are yoga and spending time with my family and friends. My husband, Jeff, and I spent a year living in Montreal, where i worked on my french and we became a family of 3 when we adopted or now 5 year old Chocolate Lab named Camille Neely Goodman. We call her Cammie. In 2016, we had a less hairy addition, our son Bennett. He is a maniac and the light of our lives. I’m sure your children will hear a lot about him as the year progresses.
This year surely promises to bring with it many new experiences and challenges. I will provide a fun, safe learning environment for our class and am so excited to meet the 5th graders that will make it amazing. We spend countless hours preparing for the beginning of school but it never feels complete without children. Perseverance, kindness and integrity are qualities that will help students succeed in life and we will spend a great deal of time focusing on these.
I eagerly await partnering with you throughout the coming year and I am delighted to be a part of your child’s education.
