Schroeder YMCA Swim Team

1. The Bird Bath is this weekend.  As soon as we receive timelines and other information, we will forward it to all of our families.

2. If you ordered a custom name cap from Elsmore, they can be picked up now.

3. ACT Prep Class with Instructor Fred Silver:  Rising Sophomores and Juniors and potentially soon to be seniors who are looking to improve their ACT score may be interested in a one-week series of classes to be offered at the WSAC the week of August 12 - 16, Monday - Friday, 3:30 - 5:00 PM.  Read more & Register Seven have signed up so far.

4. Join the team at the Ball Game!  The Lakeshore Chinooks are the local Northwoods League team for Semi-Pro baseball - top college players from around the USA.  It’s fun, low key and cooler by the lake in mid July at a really nice field in Grafton.  Each ticket gets you in the game and a ball cap and $5.00 goes back to the WSAC.  ($15.00 per ticket) Swim Team, Dive Team and Masters all to be included.

5. Final call on Foreign Exchange Students for next year.  There are several interested both boys and girls - if you are interested please contact Dave for more information.

6. 2014 Central Zone Section 1 Speedo Champs in Iowa City.  There is a block of rooms at the Sheraton.  Read for more info to get a room now.

7. Group 3 parents and athletes: please check out the weekly blogs by Harmilee and Dan.  They are packed with good information and weekly training updates.

11. Practice Schedule Changes:

• Friday, July 12 (4:30-6:30PM) and Saturday, July 13 (10-12) will be at Wilson Park County pool for groups 3-6 as there is an underwater hockey tournament at the WSAC.  Bring your sun screen!
• Fri 7/12 group 1.5 is at the normal time (8:30-9:50 @ WSAC).
• Sat 7/13 no group 2
• Thurs 7/18 no Group 6 / College in PM
• Fri 7/19 8:30 - 10:30 AM combined Group 3 and Sr
• Sat 7/20 9 - 11 AM combined Group 3 and Sr

1. This Week’s Practices:

        Due to the underwater hockey tournament at WSAC, a reminder that Groups 3 and 6 will have practice at Wilson Park on Friday and Saturday.  Friday’s practice is 4:30 - 6:30, and Saturday’s is from 10:00 - 12:00.  See you there!

2. Schroeder Swim Team Latex Caps Now Available:

        Schroeder South coaches now have latex team caps available for $4.00.  Coaches will have them at practice and at meets.  If a swimmer wears a cap at the meets, it must be a Schroeder team cap.
