Steps to Register as a New User and Login
CPS Employee
Login
LSC Members who are CPS Employees can access the Principal Evaluation Online Tool (PEOT) by directly logging in with your CPS Email address and password.
School Principals can access the Principal Evaluation Online Tool (PEOT) by directly logging in with your CPS Email address and password.
- From a web browser, navigate to cps.edu/peot
- Enter your full CPS Email address (johndoe@cps.edu) and password
- Click Log in

Non-CPS Employee
Register
LSC Members who are not CPS Employees must first create an account in order to access the application.
- From a web browser, navigate to cps.edu/peot
- Click on the Register as a new user link

- On the Register screen, enter your Email address that the LSC Department has for you on record. If you are unsure of this email address, contact your school’s principal or the LSC Department for assistance
- Enter your Password then re-enter your password under Confirm password
NOTE: Make sure that the Password meets the minimum password requirements as noted in the Instructions section on the screen.
- You will receive a message on the screen, instructing you to go to your email account and confirm the PEOT registration process by clicking on a link provided in the email
- Open up the email and click on the link
- You will be then be redirected to the PEOT website. You will see a message stating that the registration process is complete; click the link to login
Login
- Enter your full registered Email address in the Email field
- Enter your PEOT password created during registration
- Click the Log In button

Steps to Reset Forgotten Password
CPS Employee
CPS Employees will not be able to change their password from the PEOT website. In the event that you forgot your password, go to https://password.cps.edu/ to change your password.
Non-CPS Employee
- From the PEOT Login page, click on the Forgot your Password link

- Enter the Email address associated with your PEOT account, i.e. the email address you used while registering in the PEOT application, then click on Email Link. You will then receive an email with instructions to reset your password

Steps to Change Your Password
CPS Employee
CPS Employees will not be able to use this tool to change your password. Go to https://password.cps.edu/ to change your password.
Non-CPS Employee
- Login to PEOT with your registered email address and PEOT password
- Click on the Gear icon at the top right corner of the header navigation

- Click Change your password

- Enter your current password and new password as per the instructions on the screen in the provided text box, then click Change password

- Once you receive a confirmation message on the page that your password change was successful, you may login using your new password
