Works Cited Citation Ordway, Denise. “School uniforms: Do they really improve student achievement, behavior?” The Journalist's Resource, 20 April 2018, https://journalistsresource.org/education/school-uniforms-research-achievement/. Accessed 12 September 2024.

Summary: (3-4 sentences that speak to the reason above)    There has been a great deal of discussion about the benefits of having uniforms in schools. School is a place to learn and focus on academics.  Many times a student’s clothes can interfere with learning and even cause fights.

Evidence: “Proponents argue that students will pay more attention to their classwork if they aren’t preoccupied with fashion, and that they’ll be better behaved. Meanwhile, school administrators say uniforms help eliminate gang-related styles and logos” (Ordway).
