Sent to be the Good News, the hope that we proclaim.

Sent to be the Good News, serve others in God’s name.

We will shout it from the rooftops, with faith we will arise.

We will speak the Word and witness with our lives.

Sent to be the Good News, we’re sent to be the Good News.

BBQ Thank You

Thanks to all members of our school community who were able to attend and volunteer at our School Council BBQ on Thursday, June 8th, from 4:30-6:30pm. The weather was beautiful, the hot dogs and hamburgers were delicious and all of the students had so much fun playing on the inflatable attractions.

Basket Raffle

The St. Stephen Catholic School Council is very pleased to announce their annual fundraiser is now underway. Your children have brought home a booklet of raffle tickets to be sold. Anyone buying a ticket has a chance to win one of many beautiful theme baskets. Tickets are $2.00 each, or three tickets for $5.00. The tickets will be sold until Friday, June 16th, when the draw will be held. A reminder to all parents that this is strictly voluntary and children are asked not to go door to door to sell tickets. Tickets can be sold to family members, close friends or, if parents wish, co-workers. Should your child run out of tickets, please send in a note in your child’s agenda and more tickets will be provided. Once tickets are sold, please place the tickets and the money in an envelope or ziplock bag and have your child return it to your child’s teacher. Proceeds raised through this fundraiser will going to support our School Council initiatives and programs. Many items have been brought into the classes already and the baskets will be on display at the front entrance of the school this week.

Volunteer Breakfast

We will be having our annual St. Stephen volunteer breakfast before our year end mass on Monday, June 19th. The breakfast will be held in the Learning Commons from 9:15am - 10:10am. If you have volunteered in any capacity this year at St. Stephen, please come join us for coffee/tea and a bite to eat, so that we can thank you for all that you do for St. Stephen! Please follow the link below to indicate that you will be attending the volunteer breakfast, so that we know how much food and drinks we will need to provide. Thank you volunteers!

Year End Mass

We will also be having our Year End Mass in the gym on Monday, June 19th. It will take place after the Volunteer Breakfast, at 10:10am. All members of our school community are welcome to attend.

Milk and Food Programs

A reminder that the milk delivery program ends Friday, June 16th. The Wednesday food delivery programs will end next week. On Wednesday, June 14th it is Pita Lunch Day and on Wednesday, June 21st we will have our final Pizza Lunch Day. Thanks for your participation in these programs.
HeartWood Planters

We are so thankful for the beautiful HeartWood planters that were delivered to our school by our friends at Ottawa-Carleton Lifeskills on Thursday, June 8th. The planters are a wonderful addition to our outdoor classroom space.
