Hello

I made this pattern when a dear friend of mine was diagnosed in 2010. She fought hard against cancer but we lost her in September 2011. She was not a hallmark kind of person.

I wanted to do something for her when she was diagnosed and the best way I knew how was to stitch. I am sorry you have downloaded this pattern because I know that might mean someone you love has cancer. Expect to shed a few tears, or more than a few, while you are stitching. I hope the recipient loves it and I hope it makes them smile.

Rather than trying to explain how to cross stitch there are some amazing sites that can explain it far better than me. If you have come this far you want to give it a try right? It is really easy! Really it is!! So have a look here: www.subversive crossstitch.com

You will need: 1. Aida cloth 14 count -special cloth for cross stitch you can get it everywhere

including ebay... 2. Some embroidery thread, in whatever colour/s you want- you won't need a

huge amount. 3. A 6 inch hoop. 4. Scissors- small ones are best.

Good luck- I would love to see yours when you finish you can email me a photo if you like ilovechunkychooky@gmail.com
