STEM ACADEMY ATHLETICS  |  2015 SPRING SPORTS UPDATE

BASEBALL

• STEM Academy Baseball is an interscholastic sport.
• Head Coach: Dave Aycock
• Open to 8th Graders only.
• In order to participate, all candidates must have registered online, paid the $100 fee, and dropped of a copy of a recent physical.
• The team will meet after school on Tue. 3/31 at Sandwich HS to discuss the plans for the season. Bring outdoor clothing, sneakers, and a glove.
• Baseball will practice and compete at the Wing School (when fields become playable) and play approximately 12 games.
• Opponents to include: Cape Cod Lighthouse Charter School (Harwich), Mashpee, Mattacheese (Yarmouth), Monomoy, Nauset, and St. Francis Xavier (Hyannis).  
• Bus transportation to the Wing School and away contests will be provided. Parents/guardians will be expected to pick-up their student-athletes at Wing School following practice and at Sandwich HS following away contests.

SOFTBALL

• STEM Academy Softball is an interscholastic sport.
• Head Coach: Sharon Dumas
• Currently open to 7th & 8th Graders (8th Graders are also eligible, but not required, to participate at the high school level.
• In order to participate, all candidates must have registered online, paid the $100 fee, and dropped of a copy of a recent physical.

INSTRUCTIONAL FITNESS at COMPASS ATHLETICS

• Instructional Fitness is open to 7th & 8th Graders and held at Compass Athletics (3 Jan Sebastian Dr., Sandwich) from 2:30-4pm
• First spring session: Tues. 3/24  |  Last spring session: Thu. 5/7
• Instructional Fitness will not be held during April Vacation week.
• A bus will transport participants from Sandwich HS to Compass for each session. Parents/guardians are required to pick-up at Compass by 4pm.
• This program is limited to the first 20 boys and 20 girls to register.

INSTRUCTIONAL TRACK & FIELD

• Registration is currently open for “Instructional Track & Field”. Click HERE to register and be sure to choose “STEM Instructional Track & Field” ($50) from the list of sport programs.
• Instructional Track & Field is open to 7th & 8th Graders and will be held three days per week at Sandwich HS from 2:30-4pm.
• First spring session: Thu. 4/2 |  Last spring session: Fri. 5/22
• Instructional Track & Field will not be held during April Vacation week.

CLUB LEVEL GOLF for GIRLS

• Club Level Golf for Girls is open to any girl in Grades 7 through 12 and will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3-5pm at the Ridge Club.

• STEM Academy Outdoor Track & Field will not be offered as an interscholastic sport this spring.
