The following document will explain the roles, timetable, format, infrastructure, venue and further information of GateBreak.
The idea is to provide more details for accessibility reasons. Since everyone has different accessibility needs, it is not complete. Is there anything else you need to know to participate? Let Pia know (piap@gmx.ch). She will get back to you and, when applicable, update this document. Thank you!
Host & Communication: You will be welcomed by Lu (she/they) from Forcefield Records & Say Hi!
Facilitator: Pia Portmann (she/her) will facilitate the event. This means she is like a guide - she will ensure everyone stays on track and moves forward together. Her role is to facilitate, which means to make things easy and more straightforward. She prepared the framework & the material of the event. She will guide the group through the evening and do the time management. More Information about Pia can be found here.
Participants aka you: You can come to the event as you are. You can be a silent participant or be part of discussions. You can take as many breaks as you need. It is up to you how you want to participate.
16:40 Get-in: Lu will be there to greet you.
17:00 Official start: Lu and Pia will introduce the intention, desired outcomes, rules, roles
and technical information of the event.
17:15 Connecting with your Story: You will get a chance to quietly reflect on your story with
the music scene using a metaphor. We will provide paper and pens.
17:50 Connecting with Others’ Stories - Deep Listening: You will share the parts of your
story that you want in
groups of 3.
18:20 10 min break
18:30 Speed Coaching: In groups of 5, you will be able to ask a question about the music
scene as well as share your experiences and knowledge.
19:00 Apéro & Story Wall: There will be an Apéro & we will create a shared history wall.
20:00 End of GateBreak
