For anyone who plans to attend the English Pratikraman and would like to participate in reading/reciting paragraphs/sections from the English Pratikraman book, it is the 5th Edition of English Pratikraman book (JES 931-published January 2011). The book can be found online at:
In order to ensure a smooth flow and to avoid delays during Pratikraman, the coordinators would like to assign the recitation/reading of sutras and text from this book beforehand. If you would like to recite a sutra and/or read any text, please go through the book and send an email to Ritaben Lodaya (ritamlodaya@gmail.com) by August 22nd (Monday), with the section title and page number. The TOC (Table of Contents) for the book is provided below. You can choose to read a subsection if a particular section is too long.
Please provide your top 3 choices to work out any potential overlaps with other requests. Ritaben will notify you of your final assignment.
NOTE: Do not select the Appendix pages 75-93 as these are not read during the Pratikraman.
Both children and adults attending the Pratikraman are encouraged to sign up as long as they are able to prepare their assigned part in advance. However, the coordinators do request everyone to go through the book and practice their part before the Pratikraman. If you need help with pronunciations, please contact Ritaben.
