Activity 7.1.3 - Human body systems overview

Introduction:

You will be obtaining background information about all human body systems. Humans have 11 body systems that work together to maintain homeostasis. The purpose of this activity is to familiarize you with all the body systems: their structures, functions, and how homeostasis is maintained within that system.

Activity:

I have created a template for you to use as you go compile the necessary information. You might prefer a different way of displaying information, so feel free to change, modify or make your own to best suit your needs. For each body system, you will need to include the following items:

• Structure of the body system: what organs are included in this system?
• Function: What is the main purpose of this organ system?
• Picture: You need a picture of the system
• Homeostasis: Explain one way this system maintains homeostasis
• Sources: As always, cite all the information you use by creating a link to the source

I’ve included an example in the first two slides of the template for the lymphatic/immune system, so use that as a guide to visualize the project.
