Notes: I will be assigning a biome for each group of students.(groups of 5) | I will be present to push any students in the right direction as needed. | I will be present to guide the students as they research the animals. | I will be present to walk any of the students that are confused through. | I will be present to assess what the students have learned, and to answer any questions. |
Day 1: I will be going over what a trophic level is. I will also be going into great detail about what makes up each level and why it does. | Day 2: Each group will have self reflection time about what animal makes up what trophic level in their specific biome. | Day 3: Each group will decide who gets what level within the group. As a team each group will research information on their animals so that they can explain why they put it on the level they did. | Day 4: This day is consisted of constructing the actual trophic pyramid of the biome assigned to each group. | Day 5: Each group will present their pyramid, each student will explain why there level consists of the animal placed. In front of the other students and the other science classes. |
