RE: Arrangements for the 133rd annual meeting

       Aurora Alumni Association of California High School

The Aurora Alumni Association Executive Committee extends an invitation to each class to participate  in alumni activities. It is the committee’s objective to create an atmosphere where all can enjoy the reunion. Please make every effort to dine together at the school and attend the meeting as a group.  Younger alumni may find the history of older alumni insightful, and the older folks are always  interested in the lives and accomplishments of the younger graduates.

Saturday, May 28, 2022, California R-1 High School, 1501 W Buchanan (Business 50 West) Doors open from 3:45 pm to 9:00 pm  

Meal serving from 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm – $25.00 advanced, $30.00 at the door Alumni meeting: 7:00 pm with honored years being recognized

Dinner will be catered by Lutz BBQ with a menu of brisket, fried chicken, green beans, cheesy  potatoes, salad, and rolls. A dessert of cake and drinks of iced tea, lemonade, and water will be  served.

Ticket sales will pay for the dinner and any proceeds will go to support the Association.  Advanced dinner tickets may be purchased before Thursday, May 26, 2022

Class Pictures – All reunion classes will be meeting in the gymnasium for pictures. (Schedule – Page 2)

During the business meeting there will be a reading of the names of alumni who have passed away  since the 2021 meeting followed by a moment of silence to honor their memory. Please contact Dottie  Cook Gump at Rob5Gu@aol.com or 573-787-3460 with the names of individuals to be included in the  program.

Support of the Association can be made by purchasing CHS fanwear or an  

Aurora Alumni book at the meeting. The 2020 edition book includes a history  of CHS along with a listing of all graduates since 1885. The book highlights  

extra-curricular activities and features group pictures of athletic teams placing  in state competition, as well as photos of past and present school campuses.
