Warframe Endo

Endo is an essential resource when playing Warframe. Used in the Mod Upgrade process, players need large amounts of it to upgrade all their mods, especially Primed Mods. Due to this demand, players seek ways to farm Endo quickly and in large quantities. This guide will explain the most efficient and quick method to farm Endo in Warframe.

If you’ve read the guide, have any questions or comments, or want to find people to run with, here’s a link to our Warframe Endo Community: https://discord.gg/endo. If our vanity link expires, you can also join us at https://discord.gg/smRnVNf55b. We’re happy to help clarify things about Endo Farms that weren’t covered by this guide.

You will notice that this guide has formatting similar to some other guides. Both this guide and the other guides were written by the same people from the Warframe Endo community discord. We will continue to provide valuable guides like them. Here’s a list of our guides:

The Basics

This section should give you a basic idea of the current meta of farming Endo

What is Arena

Firstly, a brief introduction to the Arena Endo Farm: kill a certain amount of enemies to complete the mission. At some point, players noticed that these enemies were also dropping Endo, and Nekros, who is good at farming materials, came into people’s view. Nekros can increase Endo drop via Desecrate, as enemy corpses in the Arena will drop Endo and are affected by Desecrate. However, Nekros himself is not going to kill the enemies, so Khora will do it instead, and hence Nekros will be purely improving loot and manipulating spawns (explained later).

Moving to the Current Meta

With the release of Steel Path, came the Steel Path Mod Drop modifier (+100% mod drop chance). This allows us to get 3-4k Endo in a very short amount of time and makes it so that you have no reason to farm Endo on the regular star chart. Steel Path enemies have higher health and armor, so higher damage is required to kill them quickly and efficiently. In the current meta, Khora uses a Kuva Tonkor/Prisma Skana for DPS, while making use of her 4th ability, Pilfering Strangledome, to increase Endo drops. A Nidus pulls the enemies into Khora’s domes. Two Nekros help with manipulating spawns by standing and aiming at designated spots, while keeping active their 3rd ability, Desecrate, to improve Endo drops. Thus, the current meta squad consists of a Nidus, a Khora, and two Nekros.

Mechanics

Choosing the Correct Map

There are two mainstream maps for Arena Endo farming on the planet Sedna. One is YAM, and the other one is VODYANOI.

YAM

- Recommended for new players since the enemies are softer and less difficult modifiers.

- (health drain, scaling enemies, and reinforcements)

VODYANOI

- Has a much higher enemy level and increased difficulty modifiers

- (reduced ability duration, tougher enemies, and reinforcements) but does not provide any increase in Endo drops relative to YAM.

1 million Judgement Points. It’s a flex.

Getting More Endo Drops

The biggest increase in Endo is having one party member with the Mod Drop Chance Booster. This is because the Endo drops from the enemies count as mod drops. This stacks with the Steel Path booster for a 200% (4 times) increase in the chance for Endo drops. It is possible to get 4000 Endo in one mission if you have both.

Unfortunately, obtaining the booster can be difficult if you don’t plan for it. It can only be acquired by: purchasing Prime Access, Sortie, Archon Hunt, and Circuit rewards or as a potential purchase from Baro Ki’Teer.

However, our Warframe Endo Discord Server is great for finding other players with mod drop chance booster.

Notes: Only one player needs the booster, as it does not stack. Also does not stack with Resource Drop Chance Booster because Endo drops are counted as mod drops, not resources.

Dismemberment

A quick summary if you don’t want to read:

  1. You must use a weapon with >50% of its physical damage as Slash damage in Arena.
  2. You want high attack speed + high range
  3. Amalgam Ripkas True Steel if using abilities OR weapons

An enemy can only be dismembered up to 2 times. Points of dismemberment can be 2 body parts and 1 part that is either a leg, arm, or head. Only the 2 body parts can be Desecrated with Nekros, and the leg/arm/head cannot.

Weapons must have over 50% (exactly 50% will not work) of their physical (IPS) damage as Slash damage to dismember an enemy. Killing an enemy with this property will dismember the enemy on kill, but what is not guaranteed is dismembering into two body parts that can be Desecrated. However, if the enemy is dead, you can continue to attack the corpse to dismember it, to get a 3rd part that can possibly be Desecrated. This effect will work with your allies as well; if you kill the enemy, your teammates can dismember the dead body too.

There is a time limit for dismembering an enemy after it’s killed: approximately 0.7 seconds. After this period, the enemy will be locked for Nekros to Desecrate. There are also special cases where you dismember the arm/leg/head without dismembering the body. You must use a high-attack-speed weapon to melee it quickly; otherwise, it will be locked for Desecration.

You will want to avoid modding Corrosive and Heat elements on your weapon, as they will burn the body and make it extremely difficult for Nekros to Desecrate. You also want to avoid modding Cold, as they will freeze the enemy and make the corpse unable to dismember. Other Damage types won’t burn the body, even if it’s >100% status chance. Viral should be used on the primer.

Note: Executioner Zura only gets dismembered on kill, additional attacks to the dead body do not apply to this enemy.

Amalgam Ripkas

The Amalgam Ripkas True Steel’s effect guarantees a dismember effect on kill. This effect is universal to all damage sources originating from the user. This effect is best used in tangent with spherical AOE damage sources and abilities that target an enemy directly, for the best dismemberment effects. This allows us to use damage sources that are not melees, to improve strat flexibility to work around post-Jade spawn mechanics. Note that not dismembering via melees means that you can no longer dismember corpses, potentially resulting in less average Endo due to not being able to Desecrate enemies more than twice (Wiki mentions Desecrate being able to proc up to 4 times per enemy, however, there is a lack of evidence to support this).

Note: When used with Amalgam Ripkas True Steel, some special AoE weapons like Stahlta’s alt fire only dismember the enemy's leg. Ignis can also dismember on kill but not on a dead body.

Bringing Non-melee Weapons

Ammo drops affecting Endo drop rate is a myth, so you do NOT need to unequip non-melee weapons.

Fashion

On all frames, you want to have no accessories and all your colors set to black, especially Emissive and Energy to reduce eye strain and headaches and increase the FPS everyone gets, especially the host. If you want to have a cleaner and darker color you can use Voidshell skins + Ayatan Elegance.

Settings to improve FPS:

  • Setting visual effects intensity to 1 can help improve performance and save your eyes a little.
Additionally, you can run all low settings to improve the frame rate if you’re hosting.
  • Set Texture memory to High, gives you more FPS by letting your GPU dedicate more memory to rendering the game.
  • Play borderless windowed, make sure to set Optimized Flip-Model to on.
  • Set GPU particle quality to disabled for a large FPS boost.

You’ll also want to make sure that Gore is enabled so that Nekros can properly dismember enemies and Desecrate them. (This still needs to be tested - but better safe than sorry.)

Roles

This section covers the builds and procedures of the meta frames/weapons

Khora

Khora is one of the most useful roles in Endo farming simply because of her ability to increase Endo drops while being responsible for DPS. She is relatively cheap to build, and players can easily find a spot in groups when playing as Khora. With sufficient practice, the rollout procedure becomes easily repeatable, allowing Khora to reduce the overall round times and thus improve efficiency.

Focus School

Highly Recommended

Vazarin allows the Operator to use Protective Sling, which provides invulnerability for the Nidus as well as Khora’s Warframe herself.

Avoid applying Protective Sling using void mode (CTRL + Jump) because it has a weird/inconsistent mechanic in order to apply the buff. Use the double jump instead. Don't forget to enable the required settings (Keyboard/Mouse and Controller tab, Gameplay section):

Frame Build

(When using Ripkas)

Khora Prime - 1 Forma (1 Aura)

It is strongly recommended to follow the exact build shown here when using the Ripkas Build. Equilibrium provides more energy from the health orb picked at the start. Pilfering Strangledome enhances Endo drops. Level 2 Stretch and Narrow Minded combined provide a 56.5% range, which provides an ideal Strangledome size. Primed Continuity, Constitution, and Molt Efficiency are simply used to increase Ability Duration.

In case adjustments need to be made:

  • If everyone else takes Corrosive Projection, Khora should use Enemy Radar.
  • Toxic Flight can be replaced by any parkour velocity mod, including Lightning Dash, Ice Spring, and Fire Walker. The physical parkour velocity mods and Mobilize don’t grant as much parkour velocity but are fine for budget builds.
  • Constitution or Augur Message can be replaced by Flow/Primed Flow to get more energy. Having more energy allows easier spamming of the cage in case the run lasts longer than expected.
  • Arcane Fury can increase the damage of Ripkas.

(When using Skana/Guandao Prime) Using the subsumed ability “banish”

Khora Prime - 2 Forma (1 Aura, 1 regular)

It is strongly recommended to follow the exact build shown here when using the Skana/Guandao Build.

This build is different to give more damage to melee weapons using Primed Redirection to increase shields which will give you 180% melee damage thanks to Melee Retaliation.

Using banish you will cast it on nidus to send him into a different realm making him invulnerable (roll to get out of banish).

Venari Build

Fetch is the only important one, as it allows you to collect Endo easily. Animal Instinct or Primed Animal Instinct allows you to see enemies and loot drops. Modding Venari for additional health and armor will prevent her from accidentally dying, which can prevent you from picking up Endo. Anything else is up to preference, however, don’t put on anything that would prompt Venari to attack.

Operator Arcanes

  • Magus Cloud increases the radius in which Protective Sling is applied. Mandatory when using Vazarin, otherwise it can be replaced by anything as per preference.
  • Emergence Savior saves your operator from dying once so that there is no downtime in Protective Sling. Recommended when using Vazarin, otherwise it can be replaced by anything as per preference.

Archon Shards

A variety of Archon Shards can be used on Khora to improve the gameplay. Suggested shards are as listed below:

  • Crimson Archon Shard +10% (Tauforged +15%) - Ability Duration - Increases Cage and banish duration, which reduces worrying about them expiring and makes runs more enjoyable.
  • Crimson Archon Shard +25% (Tauforged +37.5%) - Melee Critical Damage - This can be used to potentially boost  both Ripka’s and Prisma Skana’s damage to one shot more consistently.
  • Amber Archon Shard +100% (Tauforged +150%) - Effectiveness on Health Orbs - Increases the energy generated through Equilibrium.
  • Amber Archon Shard +15% (Tauforged +22.5%) - Parkour Velocity - Recommended to help improve rollout speed. Noticeable when using Fetch to grab the Health Orb.
  • Violet Archon Shard +25% (Tauforged +37.5%) - Melee Critical Damage - This can be used to potentially boost both Ripka’s and Prisma Skana’s damage to one shot more consistently.

Weapons

For this new strat, 2 weapon options are available, and it's based on gameplay preferences.

TLDR:
Ripkas: This is a strong, beginner friendly option.
Prisma Skana: This is an alternative option, but needs higher investment and quick adjustment for stucks enemies.

Option 1 - Ripkas Build

Ripkas - 2 forma

It is strongly recommended to follow the exact build shown here. Heavy Slam Ripkas is able to easily kill executioners thanks to Nira Mods and Seismic wave with a large area of effect, with the advantage of being able to kill stuck enemies without any extra effort, as shown under this section.

Ripkas - Gore Chance Ripkas is a Melee weapon with a special mod: Amalgam Ripkas True Steel which offers +100% Gore Chance. When we use Ripkas equipped with this mod it will split every executioner (except Zura) into more parts which results in more parts for Nekros to desecrate giving us more Endo.

Any Secondary

Any secondary weapon should be equipped with the Amalgam Barrel Diffusion mod to massively increase rolling speed, which will help improve the overall rollout speed for Khora.

Option 2 - Prisma Skana / Guandao Prime Build

Prisma Skana - 4 Forma, No Stance

It is strongly recommended to follow the exact build shown here. Prisma Skana is used because of several reasons, including the high base damage, increased Critical Chance from Incarnon Evolutions, as well as the ability to stay still while crouching and attacking. Prisma Skana can be used to reliably kill enemies as soon as the enemies are pulled into Khora’s Strangledome. However, there are 2 spots where enemies can get stuck, and you will need to move to the spot and come back as quickly as possible to kill the others to prevent spawns from getting out of control. This requires attention to pulls and a bit of movement to kill stuck enemies.

Prisma Skana Incarnon uses Wartime Nerve, Orokin Reach and Absolute Valor.

Guandao Prime is a cheaper alternative that uses the same build with Shimmering Blight stance mod.

Utility Weapon

Afentis - 0 Forma

Afentis is an optional primary to help buff Khora and Nidus. Nekros throws the Afentis (alternate fire) near Khora’s Strangledome to provide increased attack speed, reload speed, maximum ammo and reduced recoil. Typically, the Left Nekros will use the Afentis during rollout, but Khora can also use it when Prisma Skana is equipped. Primary Dexterity is recommended for the +7.5s added combo duration for your Prisma Skana.

Any Secondary

Any secondary weapon should be equipped with the Amalgam Barrel Diffusion mod to massively increase rolling speed, which will help improve the overall rollout speed for Khora.

Secondary Dexterity is used on your secondary weapon to add +7.5s combo duration.

Procedure

Step 1: Bullet jump and slam toward the health orb station. This step is for triggering Equilibrium and grabbing starting energy.

Step 2: Vazarin dash towards the spot in the image and cast Strangledome in the center of the platform, as shown in the image below. Nidus will pull the enemies towards the Strangledome.

Step 3: Jump a bit to do a heavy slam killing every enemy that nidus pulled (heavy slam again if there’s still enemy left). Then keep looking towards the entrance of the backroom, where a Nekros should be standing. This is to help manipulate the spawns for the Nidus to pull them. This is mandatory. You will stay in this position for the rest of the run and kill enemies.

Step 4: Cycle Venari to Heal and assign her to the Nekros (Left Nekros) standing in the doorway ahead. This is important because Venari tend to attack enemies which might affect the runs. It may help to Invert the Ability Tap/Hold options for Khora from Game Settings to allow this to be done faster, so it simply becomes a Tap-Tap-Hold sequence.

Cycle to Heal

Aim at Nekros and Cast

Step 5: At 25 kills, you’re done! Try to collect as much Endo as possible before you get taken out of the mission. Make sure to keep killing enemies as they get pulled into the Strangledome before the mission fully ends.

Vazarin Full Rollout Example

Skana Full Rollout Example (Naramon)

Nidus

Nidus is responsible for pulling all enemies into Khora’s Strangledome. A good Nidus who can pull enemies quickly can greatly speed up overall round times.

Focus School

Nidus should be running Zenurik as it grants energy over time via Wellspring and a free ability cast via Inner Might.

Frame Build

Nidus Prime - 2 Forma (Aura, Regular)

It is strongly recommended to follow the exact build shown here. Instead of relying on Larva to expire on its own by building minimal duration, Larva Burst can be used to detonate Larva early. This allows Nidus to Larva again faster, and drop enemies into Strangledome faster before enemies die to guarantee its loot bonus. It is recommended for all Nidus players to learn Larva Burst after getting comfortable with their rollout and pulling bad spawns. Overextended, Stretch, Augur Reach and Cunning Drift provide the maximum Ability Range at 280% to grab enemies from furthest possible distances. Energy Nexus passively generates energy, and Equilibrium allows picking health orbs even at max health, providing even more energy, so they facilitate the energy required for casting Larva often. Greedy Pull allows pulling the Endo at the end of the round. A high Ability Efficiency is already obtained using Fleeting Expertise, and Strength does not matter in this build.

Operator Arcanes

  • Nidus does not swap to Operator during any point in the run, so Operator Arcanes are not required.

Archon Shards

Archon Shards are not mandatory for Nidus. However, for faster rollouts, Regular or Tau Amber Archon Shards are highly recommended for additional Casting Speed.

  • Amber Archon Shard +25% (Tauforged +37.5%) - Casting Speed - Excellent options as these can greatly reduce the animation time taken for casting Larva.
  • Amber Archon Shard +15% (Tauforged +22.5%) - Parkour Velocity - Can be optionally used to help improve rollout speed as it speeds up movement while getting to camping spots.

Weapons

Glaxion Vandal - 4 forma

Glaxion Vandal or Gaze (Brash + Ramflare) are the best primaries to proc Viral status effects onto enemies which will help your squadmates kill faster. The build uses Fractalized Reset to increase weapon reload speed and Mending Shot to pick up health orbs that are going to be converted to energy while priming the enemies. Hush is used to turn Glaxion Vandal into a silent weapon to avoid being noticed by enemies and to stay safe inside the radius of Cloaking Quiver.

Note that Preparation and the Amber Archon Shard‘s “Maximum Energy is filled on Spawn” does not work in Arena.

Any Secondary

Any secondary weapon should be equipped with the Amalgam Barrel Diffusion mod to massively increase rolling speed, which will help improve the overall rollout speed for Nidus.

Praedos - 0 forma

Praedos is used for the 4th evolution’s Parkour Velocity bonus. Slot in as much attack speed as possible in case melee is pressed accidentally.

Procedure

Step 0: Nidus should host the farm, as his Larva doesn’t like to function properly on high ping. Make sure to set your squad to invite only. If you have connection issues such as host migration, you can work around it by doing the following steps:

  1. Go into a mission on invite only by yourself.
  2. Invite everyone into your squad while inside the mission.

Note: Sometimes you might need to invite them multiple times.

  1. Once everyone is in your squad, and loaded in, you may abort the mission and return back to your orbiter. Since you will be on invite only your squadmates should be pulled out of the mission with you.
  2. Go back to YAM (SP) and farm Endo as per normal.

Step 1: Nidus should pre-roll/bullet jump where the ceiling is visible, cast Larva on the ceiling to grab the enemies from their spawn points, bringing them in the range of second Larva (done in Step 2) to Khora’s Strangledome.

Step 2: Cast Larva on the ground/top of the lamp post to get the first group of enemies right above Khora’s Strangledome.

Step 3: Position yourself at the top of the lake platform just above the stairs. You want to look slightly at the ground and have line of sight towards the bridge. This is to prevent them from spawning at bridge giving you an easier time fixing enemies. You’ll cast Larva at the ground whenever you see enemies close enough on your map. Note that you can continue to hold the fire button while casting Larva, and it won't be interrupted.

Step 4: There will be enemies that are too far for the Larva to reach. To fix them, you will need to cast the Larva at the energy orb (as shown below) to reach every enemy. Once they are pulled towards that spot, you can cast the Larva again at the ground or the lamp post to pull them towards Khora’s Strangledome.

(Advanced) Nidus mid air fix

To do this you need to find the right timing and sweet spot to pull everyone all at once then pull at the ground once you collect them all mid air.

Step 5: Once you hit 25 Kills, you want to use Greedy Pull. However, you still want to use Larva even after the last kill to squeeze out a little bit more Endo at the end.

Nidus Full Rollout Example

Nekros

In the Arena Endo farm, Nekros has two main objectives. One is to cast Desecrate at the beginning of the run to ensure higher Endo drops. The other is to leave the Warframe at a certain spot and camp in Operator mode while aiming at another spot. This is done to help with spawn manipulation. After the rollout, it’s mostly staying AFK until the end of the round and then collecting pickups using Greedy Pull.

Focus School

Zenurik is a good option here as Nekros can’t be moving around to pick energy orbs, and therefore must gain enough energy for Greedy Pull at the end of the round through other methods. Wellspring in Zenurik school can help generate enough energy for several Pulls at the end of each round.

Optional

Madurai is recommended for Nekros to have an easier time to kill the enemies that are not supposed to spawn near you using Void strike + amp.

Frame Build

Nekros Prime - 1 Forma

It is strongly recommended to follow the exact build shown here. Despoil allows Desecrate to consume health instead of energy for enhancing Endo drops, so it’s a mandatory augment. Greedy Pull allows pulling the Endo at the end of the round. Overextended, Augur Reach, Stretch and Cunning Drift are used to reach the maximum Ability Range at 280%. Natural Talent, Lightning Dash are used to significantly reduce the overall rollout time by improving movement. Arcane Nullifier is helpful in preventing energy drain from Magnetic procs. Corrosive Projection is there to significantly buff damage to enemies. Efficiency and Strength do not affect the build. Energy Nexus is used to have passive energy gain to activate greedy pull at the end of the mission to collect endo.

In case adjustments need to be made:

  • If everyone else takes Corrosive Projection, One Nekros should use Enemy Radar.
  • Lightning Dash can be replaced by any parkour velocity mod, for example Toxic Flight.
  • Speed Drift is a flex slot and can be replaced by another mod as per preference.
  • Arcane Ice can be replaced by another arcane as per preference.

Operator Arcanes

  • Magus Nourish continuously heals Nekros while in operator mode, replenishing the health lost from Desecration.
  • Emergence Savior will prevent accidental deaths of the Operator once per round. This is optional.

Archon Shards

Archon Shards are not mandatory for Nekros. However, for faster rollouts, any number of Regular or Tau Amber Archon Shards can be used for additional Casting Speed orParkour Velocity.

  • Amber Archon Shard +25% (Tauforged +37.5%) - Casting Speed - Recommended to help improve rollout speed as it reduces the animation time taken for Desecrate.
  • Amber Archon Shard +15% (Tauforged +22.5%) - Parkour Velocity - Recommended to help improve rollout speed as it speeds up movement while getting to camping spots.

Weapons

Praedos - 0 forma

Praedos is used for the 4th evolution’s Parkour Velocity bonus. Slot in as much attack speed as possible in case melee is pressed accidentally.

Afentis - 0 Forma

Afentis is an optional primary to help buff Khora and Nidus. Nekros throws the Afentis (alternate fire) near Khora’s Strangledome to provide increased attack speed, reload speed, maximum ammo and reduced recoil. Typically, the Left Nekros will use the Afentis during rollout at Step 2.

Any Secondary

Any secondary weapon should be equipped with the Amalgam Barrel Diffusion mod to massively increase rolling speed, which will help improve the overall rollout speed for Nekros.

Procedure

Both Nekros follow the same procedure, with one Nekros taking the left camp spot and the other taking the right. The one taking the right will be called Right Nekros, and the one taking the left will be referred to as Left Nekros.

Right Nekros

Step 1: Jump through the open vent as shown while casting Desecrate, and land on the top of the stairs.

Step 2: Go through the door on the left and into the hallway.

Step 3: Position yourself in the middle of the hallway so that both the front and back doors are open.

Step 4: Swap to Operator and then Void Sling back towards the top of the stairs.

Step 5: Aim at the marked spot and stay in this position until the kill count is around 23-24 kills and there are more enemies remaining on the minimap.

Step 6: Make sure that you have line of sight to the barrels on the left and line of sight with both open doors at the front.  Move out into the lake area and start collecting Endo using Greedy Pull!

Right Nekros Full Rollout Example

Left Nekros:

Step 1: Cast Desecrate first then jump through the left door as shown, land at the bottom of the stairs near the lower gate.

Step 2: Position just on the right outside the door so that the door remains open. Make sure your warframe can be seen by Khora.

Advanced: Throw Afentis at the platform where Nidus and Khora are standing to buff them.

Step 3: Swap to Operator, and then Void Sling back towards the top of the stairs.

Step 4: Aim at the marked spot and make sure the gate is open. Stay in this position until the kill count is around 23-24 kills and there are more enemies remaining on the minimap.

Step 5: Move out into the lake area and start collecting Endo using Greedy Pull!
