Google Search & Various Math Sites | Students provided lesson vocabulary terms and the learning targets. Students then research online to find the definitions and examples of the various math concepts (ie. How to draw a line of best fit? How to write an equation for the line of best fit? How to use the equation to predict?). NOVA Education | Short videos and materials related to real-world problems connected to standards. The one titled “Math Behind Package Delivery” explains how math is used to figure out the number of routes possible to deliver a package and then determine the most efficient one. Students could select places around town or the location of their classes to determine the best route and use math to prove the selection. Many of these videos seem to be geared toward High School Common Core Standards. | |
