Project Choice

Suggested Presentation Tools

Compare and contrast your culture customs with those of a character from your book and write about them. I am looking for lots of reflection and thoughtfulness here.

Digital Storybook

Choose an authentic food mentioned in the book. Find a recipe and make the food for your family. Prepare a presentation sharing your experiences, pictures and recipes with the class. Include in your materials the source from where you got the recipe. (Sharing your food with the class is optional.)

Research more about a topic in your book. This might be migrant farm workers, communist Cuba, bullfighting, illegal immigration, etc. Inform us about the topic while connecting it with your book.

Create either the chapter before your book started, or the chapter after your book ends.

Illustrate a pivotal scene from the book.

Create a personal history (diary or scrapbook, for example) as a character from your book.

YOUR IDEA HERE. If you have an idea for a project, you must pre-approve it with me beforehand. Make sure you have the details figured out before you discuss it with her.
