Crazy Game Stories

Greetings to all three of you chickenheads!

I've been playing deathrattle rogue lately & I think I've finally got a story worthy of the title 'crazy.'

I was playing a C'thun Priest & things were just not going my way. We had reached endgame & both raptors, both Shadowcasters, & N'zoth were sitting dead in my hand, every turn I thought surely the next card has to be a deathrattle.. Finally I had no choice but to drop N'zoth (summoning an Undercity Huckster..) just to contest the board. The next turn finally drawing Xaril & going HAM with the raptors & Shadowcasters. Meanwhile C'thun just kept growing bigger & bigger while we fought back & forth on the board.

I guess my opponent got impatient, as he went full Northshire, dropping 2 & playing circle of healing drawing 8 cards & filling his hand & leaving one card in his deck, he cast SW:P on one of my guys to not overdraw & passed the turn.

I Sap'd one of his creatures that I couldn't deal with & the well played's started coming from my opponent, which I was sure was BM & ended my turn. Then it happened, the 21/21 C'thun was drawn & disintegrated! I couldn't freakin' believe it!

BTW: my earliest Hearthstone memory is Garrett raging about murloc decks, ahh simpler times. I've listened to your show every week since I think episode 3- keep up the great work.

Greetings TAC Crew!

I was recently playing against a Beast Hunter and witnessed a truly bizarre Battlecry interaction that shows us even more unusual card mechanics.

My opponent had a beast on the board and played Ram Wrangler, which in turn summoned a new card Addled Grizzly, the 2/2 for 3 mana that gives other summoned minions +1/+1. Somehow, however, he played the Ram Wrangler, which then summoned the Addled Grizzly, which then gave the Ram Wrangler +1/+1!

Despite the other evidence showing that minions hit the board first before card effects actually trigger (not counting the delayed reaction of secrets from Mad Scientist). Can you guys use your TAC clout to convince Blizzard to finally give us a legit rulebook? Thanks!

Piemaster

Hi guys (sorry I don’t have a thesaurus handy)

I am a long-time listener and I don’t think you have ever discussed the so-called ‘pity timer’ on the show, which has returned to the forefront of discussion recently as people are opening a bunch of Old Gods packs.  I don’t think it has ever been officially confirmed by Blizzard, but it has been pretty much proved using a large amount of data that you can’t open more than 40 packs from an expansion without getting a legendary card.  i.e. if you open 39 straight packs with no legendary, the 40th will be guaranteed to contain a legendary.

Do you think this is good or bad for the game?  Does it affect your decisions when buying packs?

Omar

Heh, greetings, enraged egg-layers,

Short and sweet: Is Twin Emperor Vek’lor the new Dr. Boom? Discuss!

(Also got a lot of emails/tweets asking what the go to neutral legendary was to craft)
