All defined terms used in this Acceptable Use Policy will have the meanings set forth in the BetterMe’s Creator Platform Terms of Use (the "Platform Terms"). This Acceptable Use Policy is an integral part of the Platform Terms and must be read in conjunction with them.
BetterMe’s Creator Platform is dedicated to empowering creators, the company helps them share their work with the world committed to empowering creators to share their works with the world. To ensure a positive experience for all users, we have created this Acceptable Use Policy. The purpose of this AUP is to outline what is and is not permitted when using BetterMe’s Creator Platform (“Platform”).
All users of Platform and services must adhere to this Acceptable Use Policy. Violating this policy may result in actions including suspension, termination of accounts, removal of content, or reporting of violations to relevant authorities, as applicable by law.
If you come across a violation of this Acceptance Use Policy, please report it to creator@betterme.world
The Platform strictly prohibits any form of terrorism or violent extremism. Content that glorifies, supports, or represents dangerous organizations or affiliated individuals will be removed. This includes, but is not limited to:
Content that references dangerous organizations or individuals in a neutral or condemnatory way (e.g., for journalistic, historical, or educational purposes) is allowed.
Creators and users are encouraged to express themselves, but not at the cost of anyone’s safety or privacy.
Harassment and related abusive behaviors are strictly prohibited.
Any form of behavior, language, or creative content that bullies individuals is not permitted on the Platform. Bullying actions may include, but are not limited to, threats of violence, mocking based on sexual history or survivor status, sharing degrading photos or videos, and using derogatory, photoshopped images.
Dogpiling, where a group of individuals target someone online with the intent to intimidate or humiliate, is prohibited. The Platform does not tolerate creators or users participating in or encouraging this behavior.
Doxxing, which involves sharing someone’s personally identifiable information (e.g., home address, phone number, financial details) without consent, is prohibited. This form of harassment can lead to serious offline consequences like stalking or identity theft. Exceptions may include the publication of an individual’s own information or consented disclosures, as well as information from public domain documents (e.g., court filings).
The Platform maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward non-consensual intimate imagery, defined as the distribution of sexual or pornographic material without the individual’s consent. If you are a victim, it is recommended to contact local law enforcement in addition to reporting the incident to the Platform.
Swatting, the act of making false emergency reports (e.g., bomb threats, active shooter situations), is extremely dangerous and strictly prohibited. Content encouraging or promoting swatting is also banned.
The Platform treats threats and incitements to violence with extreme seriousness. Prohibited actions include, but are not limited to, organizing violent acts, making conditional or credible threats, and soliciting advice for harming individuals.
The Platform prohibits content that promotes dangerous or self-destructive behaviors (e.g., high-risk challenges, disordered eating, suicide, self-harm) which may jeopardize the physical, mental, or emotional health of users.
All activities and products published on the Platform must be lawful. The Platform does not permit the facilitation or funding of illegal or regulated activities.
While we recognize that nudity, pornography, and graphic content may have a legitimate place in some contexts, we discourage the gratuitous inclusion of such materials. Creators are not permitted to share, upload, or store graphic violent material or pornography on our Platform.
We recommend placing a clear warning screen before displaying any content that may involve nudity, adult themes, or potentially offensive material. Under no circumstances may users share, transmit, or store unlawful pornography or other indecent materials.
Certain industries, due to higher-than-average abuse reports, may not be allowed on the Platform to protect its integrity.
All users must respect intellectual property rights. You must have the appropriate rights to any content or data used on the Platform. It is your responsibility to obtain and maintain these rights and ensure that your use complies with legal standards. Offering goods or posting content that infringes on another party’s intellectual property (such as trademarks, logos, or copyrighted material) is prohibited. We advise consulting legal counsel if you have concerns about using third-party intellectual property.
When policies are violated, the Platform may respond in various ways depending on the nature and severity of the violation. Some instances may offer an appeals process, allowing you to correct the violation. If you believe your account has been wrongly suspended, you can request an appeal by emailing creator@betterme.world. Below are the main enforcement actions taken, without limiting any legal rights:
Services Suspension
If you violate policies, the Platform may suspend your use of certain services or features. During this suspension, you will be unable to access the Platform or the relevant services until the violation is addressed and reviewed. BetterMe will make reasonable efforts to notify you of the suspension and allow you time to correct the issue.
Account Termination
For severe or repeated violations, your account may be permanently terminated. When this occurs, all access to the Platform and related services will be disabled. In some cases, you may be granted temporary access to retrieve your data before it is permanently deleted. Any attempts to create new accounts may also result in immediate suspension. If the violation involves illegal activity, it may be reported to law enforcement authorities.
BetterMe reserves the right to monitor, review, or remove any content that violates this AUP or applicable law. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, and in certain cases, report users to relevant authorities. If you come across a violation of this Acceptance Use Policy, please report it to creator@betterme.world
BetterMe may modify this Acceptance Use Policy from time to time. Users will be notified of any significant changes, and continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
