The 2019 International ELF Noona Guide to Helping Suju Reach No1 in 10-days!
Hello ELF!
We’ve been seeing a lot of discussion online lately about how we are all older and busier, and, for many of us, that is probably true. We can’t spend our days streaming MVs and voting non-stop for our boys. But does that mean we are out of the game? No!
A group of international ELFs have gotten together to create a guide to see how we can help our boys earn No1 at a Music Show, even though we have jobs and commitments in our lives. I’m sure I don’t need to tell you how important this album is. So, how can you help?
Well, it is easy! Just follow the manageable timeline we have made, which will help them win MNet M! Countdown. All you have to do is go to this timeline and do as much as you can.
Don’t worry, we all get busy. But, this is the moment to come out of retirement - for just 10 days. That is all it will take. So, if you’ve ever loved SuJu, please come back for just October. We can do it!
So this is a call to all ELF - past, present (and future!) - please help us.
Thank you, and good luck to us all!
Lots of love,
EverLasting Friends
To make your life as easy as possible, we’ve made this manageable timeline for you to complete if you want Super Junior to win No.1 at Mnet M! Countdown. Click on the links to find out more about how we advise you to complete each little task.
Please only do as much, or as little, as you feel able to. All we want is to encourage ELF to do a little more than normal because this is such a special album!
While you are encouraged to try and live vote and stream digitally, the most important, and easiest, things that International ELF can do, in order of importance, are:
That is all we are asking you to do!
Mnet M! Countdown: Thursday 24th October 2019 6PM KST (South Korea)
Thursday 24th October 2019 9pm (New Zealand)
Thursday 24th October 2019 5pm (Singapore and The Philippines)
Thursday 24th October 2019 3pm (Bangladesh)
Thursday 24th October 2019 12pm (Noon/Midday) (Saudi Arabia)
Thursday 24th October 2019 10am BST (UK)
Thursday 24th October 2019 5am ET (East Coast USA)
Thursday 24th October 2019 2am (West Coast USA)
There are 10 versions of the album that are available to buy. If you buy all 10, you get a special ‘package gift’. The more copies that are sold, the better, but do not feel like you have to buy all 10 versions. Just do what you can afford.
If you want your purchase to count on Music Shows, you must buy from an approved member of the Hanteo Chart Family. Luckily, there are a lot of websites that work with the Hanteo Chart. You can look at all these different websites if you want to try and find the best value for delivery to your country.
Please, only buy from Hanteo Chart approved websites!
Young kpop fans of 3rd generation artists seem to have a lot of energy for streaming their MVs. Although we are older and have less time - we can still stream! This may be the most important thing that international fans can do, as it makes up 20% of the final calculation that decides the winner.
We are urging ELF to come up with their own personal aims to increase views on the MV.
For example, every day you could aim to:
You don’t need to aim for hundreds of views per day. Every little bit helps. The only thing you need to remember is to clear your history before you watch, try not to watch it more than once an hour, and to watch it fully to the end.
There is no need to try to learn the mysterious ways of the YouTube viewing algorithm. Playlists probably won’t work, and neither will obsessive clicking. Just try to click on it a few more times a day than you normally would.
Digital Streaming
You must also avoid using spotify and other non-Korean digital sources to stream the album in October. This is because Music Shows do not count spotify streams. Please try to use Youtube, or consider using Korean streaming sites, like Melon, Genie, Mnet or Bugs.
It is important to know, however, that Digital Music Sales Scores count for 45% of the final score. Unfortunately, this is not the easiest thing to do if you do not speak Korean, so we do not expect International ELF to try and do this. However, if you do speak korean, or think you can manage logging on through twitter, please do try and stream on Melon, Genie, Mnet or Bugs. It is free, I think.
The great news is that voting with M! Countdown is easy and simple. All you have to do is go to the website at the correct times and vote or send in a text, if you are able to.. It shouldn’t take more than a few minutes.
How To Pre-vote
Pre-voting happens over a 4 day period, Friday to Monday, and you can vote once a day. That is a potential four votes per person. You can make multiple accounts if you feel like it, but you are only allowed 10 per IP address. The trickiest part is ensuring you know what the time limitations are in your timezone.
Step One:
Make sure you know what time voting opens in your timezone
Step Two:
On Friday 18th October, go to https://www.mwave.me/en/mcountdown/prevoting/vote
Japanese ELF should go to https://mnetjp.com/
Step Three:
You will need to log in with twitter, facebook, instagram or an MWAVE ID.
Step Four:
Vote for Super Junior ‘SUPER Clap’
Step Five:
Repeat on Saturday, Sunday and Monday unless you live in North or South America
Easy, right!
Mnet M! Countdown Pre-Voting Time:
Friday 18th October 2019 2PM KST to Monday 21st October 2019 9am KST
Friday 18th October 2019 5pm to Monday 21st October Noon/Midday 2019 (New Zealand)
Friday 18th October 2019 1PM to Monday 21st October 8am 2019 (The Philippines)
Friday 18th October 2019 11am to Monday 21st October 3am 2019 (Saudi Arabia)
Friday 18th October 2019 9am to Monday 21st October 1am 2019 (UK)
Friday 18th October 2019 4am to Sunday 20th October 8pm 2019 (East Coast USA)
Friday 18th October 2019 1am to Sunday 20th October 5pm 2019 (West Coast USA)
North and South Americans may need make sure they vote once before 11am on Friday 18th for it to count as ‘Friday’, and should take into account that ‘Monday’ ends before 5pm on Sunday.
I suggest that they vote:
Friday 18th before 11am
Saturday 19th before 11am
Sunday 20th before 11am
Sunday 20th after 11am, but before 5pm
How To Live Vote
Some sources online suggest that you can live vote online, but I haven’t been able to find how, so I think it is no longer possible. We do not expect International ELF to Live Vote as it requires a Korean Mobile Phone. If you want to try, you should:
Step One:
Send a text that says ‘슈퍼주니어’ to +82 0082 2566
You must use their Korean Name
You should not send lots of texts as it can invalidate all your votes
We do not accept any liability if this information proves incorrect or you incur phone charges. Please do your own research before voting by text.
If you want to watch the show, even if you can’t vote, you will need to log in to your MWAVE account, but can watch at this link:

An important part of this project is making old ELF aware that the new album is coming out, how important it is, and how easy it is to support the boys! This means spreading this project and guide around forums, blogs, comments sections and more! Therefore, I give FULL permission, and encourage you all, to send people a link to this Guide, or to copy and paste parts of it to your blogs etc.
In terms of comments’ sections, obviously we can’t copy and paste the whole thing - so I encourage you to share the link and to write shorter versions to spread the idea. For example
‘Granny ELFs! Can we give SJ a Music Show No1?! You might think we are too old/busy, but some International ELFs have created an easy plan to win M! Countdown by just doing a little bit every day from the 14th to the 24th. You don’t have to do it all, but every tiny bit will help!
It’s been 5 years since they last won, and they are finally out of the military! For more information on the project: visit the SJ Amino.’
It would also be amazing if any bi-lingual ELF could translate and spread the message a little further. It’d be great if we also got support from Japanese, Arabic, Chinese, or any other ELF that would like to help!
We agreed that the best thing for International ELF to do, is to focus on ONE Music Show, rather than spread our limited time across many Music Shows. We picked M! Countdown because:
Mnet M! Countdown Pre-Voting:
Friday 18th October 2019 2PM KST to Monday 21st October 2019 9am KST
Mnet M! Countdown:
Thursday 24th October 2019 6PM KST (South Korea)
More Information on Music Shows
If you would like to do a bit more as an international fan, and would like to help Super Junior in other music shows, there are other easy things you can do. Our advice is:
(pre-voting Tuesday 15th October 12:01AM KST to Sunday 20th October 11:59PM)
International fans can only pre-vote through Idol Champ app, but simpler than earning ‘starpoints’. International pre-vote is worth 20%. International fans can influence up to 30% of points, including album sales.
Apply to be one of the 2,000 randomly chosen people who get to do pre-voting.
Sign up to be on their Viewer Panel Survey
(pre-voting Friday 18th to Monday 21st October)
International fans can vote at all stages, if you have the time to earn ‘starpoints’ in the app that are used in order to vote. International fans can influence up to 45% of the points, including youtube views, pre-vote, live-vote, and album sales.
Voting and pre-voting available if you have a korean phone, so are able to download the app from the Korean App Store. 32% of the score comes from Youtube views, Twitter and other SNS.

Last, but most importantly, I would like to send a message to all the other fandoms out there who might read this:
Dear Other Fandoms,
We come in peace! We are not declaring war, or trying to start a fight. This is just a very important album for us. Our boys have spent the last 10 years in and out of the military, and haven’t achieved a Music Show number one in 5 years! But still, they have been working so hard, so please let us show them our support!
If we don’t succeed, we will step back and congratulate whoever does win N.o 1 with all our hearts, so please cooperate with us, without spreading any hate or negativity.
Thank you so much for being understanding.
All our love,
ELF
