ARRIVAL

Buses will drop off and pick up in the FRONT of the school. Car riders will be dropped off and picked up on the side of the school near the softball field.

CAR RIDER DROP-OFF PROCEDURES

Drop-off for our car riders in the morning is on the side of the school between 8:40-9:15 AM.

For student safety, the following procedures are in place:

• Only the right lane, closest to the curb, will be used for student drop-off.
• Drivers must stay in the vehicle.
• Students should have backpacks ready to exit vehicles quickly
• Students are to exit vehicles on the sidewalk side at the colored cones.
• Drivers will be directed to pull up to the furthest forward colored cone available to allow students to exit from several cars at a time.
• Once students exit vehicles, cars will keep moving in a single lane and follow the ONE-WAY traffic pattern up Greenhill Road.
• Staff members will greet students at the bus and gym doors to allow for multiple entrance points.

BUS DROP-OFF PROCEDURES

Buses will drop students off in the front of the school near the front and gym doors. Two buses will be permitted to unload at one time. One group will enter through the gym doors and the other group will enter through the main lobby. 

DISMISSAL

Families will remain in the car to pick up their child(ren).  The pickup up lanes will be located on the side of the school. Parents/Guardians will follow the guidance of the staff members directing traffic and park accordingly in the former bus lanes.  

CAR RIDER DISMISSAL PROCEDURES

Our car rider dismissal will now be at 3:40 for ALL grade levels. The car rider pick-up location is on the side of the school closest to the ball field. For student safety, we ask all parents/guardians to remain in your cars during car rider pick up.  

1.  Once you enter Greenhill Road, cars will line up in three lanes as pictured in the diagram below.
2.  Parents/guardians must display their car rider tag with their family number visible for staff to see.
3. Students will be dismissed out of the building based on the car lineup.  
4. Once your student(s) are safely in your car, cars will be directed to depart following the one-way traffic pattern up Greenhill Road. This will help us prevent traffic being blocked and backed up at the end of the day.
5. If your child is in need of seatbelt assistance, please be prepared to pull over in the side parking lot off of Greenhill Road.  For safety reasons and to provide a speedy process, please do not get out of your car in the pickup line. 

Kindergarten families received tags at Kindergarten Parent Orientation. Remaining family car rider tags will be sent home on the first day of school. Family numbers remain the same; however, we have new car rider tags for 2025-2026. Please make sure you use the new tag when picking up your child. If your child will be a car rider on the first day of school and you do not have a tag or know your family number, please contact the school. A Blank sheet of paper to identify your last name and family number placed on your dashboard may be used for dismissal on August 20 only. Please note blank paper with the numbers will not be accepted after the first day of school.

WALKERS

Walkers will be dismissed at 3:40 with the second dismissal group.  Walkers will be dismissed out the side doors by the green top and exit to the sidewalk from there at 3:40 pm.

BUS DISMISSAL PROCEDURES

Bus dismissal will begin at 3:45 PM. Buses will line up in a single line in the front of the school for dismissal. Students will be escorted to a designated area by their classroom teachers. Students will be escorted by a staff member to their bus.

SCHOOL DISMISSAL MANAGER

School Dismissal Manager (SDM) allows parents to make changes to a student’s attendance status through a web browser or iOS or Android app, making it no longer necessary to call or email the school. The school is alerted automatically. Student absences, late arrivals, early dismissals and dismissal changes should be reported through SDM. All exceptions must be submitted by 2:00PM.

To add an Exception

1. Login to SDM via web browser or iOS or Android app
2. Select the calendar date(s)
3. Select “Add Exception”
4. Choose the appropriate exception
5. Answer and complete remaining prompts
6. Click “Submit”
