Important Clarification: Not everything I say in this is accurate. I’m just spitballing based on what I’m pretty sure is happening, and I don’t go through and edit the entries based on later chapters. The only info that will be perfectly up to date is the stuff in the Characters, Timeline, Crackpot Theories, and Lingering Questions sections.

Hey, gang. You may have noticed that this document hasn’t been updated in a while. There’s a couple reasons for that, and they go hand-in-hand.

Reason #1: The YouTube Boycott. As you may be aware, YouTube has begun rolling out age verification policies that will track your watch history and, if they believe you to be under 18, force you to hand over your ID. I, along with many other people, have been boycotting since these policies began a little over a month ago. As such, I haven’t been keeping up with anything on YT, which includes this series. (Yes I know about the AO3 version but listen to #2)

Reason #2: College. You remember how, a year or two back, Kiwi started going to college and suddenly had way less time to make the rewrite, which led to a dramatically slower posting time for a while? Yeah, that’s me now. I moved in at college around when the boycott began, and now even if I wanted to, I don’t really have the time to keep up with a fanfic. If anyone else wants to take over the document (there are a couple of you I know who seem like good candidates), shoot me an email and I’ll think about it, since lord knows I don’t have the time right now.

I in no way hold anything against Kiwi or this series, and as soon as I have the chance I would love to binge through it again, either on AO3 or on YT, but for now the combination of these two factors means that I’m not gonna be able to until probably around December.

Events

Prologue

Bonnie’s remains are found to be missing

Chapter 1

Vanessa had some sort of crazy loss (likely a parent because of the next part…)

Jeremy is taking over the company

Jan 2082: Jeremy establishes some crazy new policies

  • A lot of the employees are being fired, and no one is allowed to be at the PizzaPlex at night
  • Safety collars of some sort are in use (presumably on the animatronics because what else would it be)
  • Parts and Services is banned to anyone who hasn’t been trained

Chapter 2

Nothing happened in the lore, but it ended with a symbol that looked like this for the first time:

P

2

Chapter 3

Incident reports 2072-77

  • On April 7, 2073, Sun’s programming saw a dog, didn’t know how to handle it, and freaked out. A collar was used to calm him down
  • On October 3, 2073, Chica saw that a kid was feeling down, and asked her if she was OK. The girl, Penny, admitted that she was feeling suicidal, and Chica reported it to the managers who were able to get her help[a][b]
  • The incident reports are from Victor Miller

Chapter 4

No lore, but the symbol appeared again this time like:

B

4[c][d][e]

It is unclear what the symbol means, it might just be Kiwi goofing around with a cool symbol.

Chapter 5

Incident reports 2072-77

  • June 20, 2074: A branch fell on power lines, cutting all energy in the PizzaPlex. Freddy, thinking the children had all disappeared, had a panic attack and had to hide with DJ until the lights came on the next day.
  • July 1, 2074: When a show was supposed to begin, Freddy got up on stage but then stayed frozen like he had stage-fright. Bonnie stepped up to sing, despite not being able to. Everyone started laughing, and the show went pretty well
  • This probably isn’t lore-related, but it’s so wholesome I refuse to highlight it in red.
  • The PizzaPlex was gaining a lot of new popularity at this point, and that was a recent development
  • Victor Miller again

Chapter 6

Incident report, no specific date (around September 2075)

  • For at least a month, a group of kids had been making fun of Roxy (pulling her tail, insulting her, pretending to hit on her, etc.) Her self-confidence was already falling, and at one point she burst into tears and climbed the arena walls to escape.
  • Victor Miller again.

Chapter 7

Entry (journal presumably?) from Victor Miller, March of 2066

  • First day in the new “Fresh Start Diner”
  • The animatronics worked well together, despite having a pretty small crowd
  • The “Puppet Twins” had trouble coordinating, but “Blue[f][g]” seemed to work as well as “Yellow” with the kids
  • DJ was too big, and just had to stick his head up into the kitchen.
  • “Project Security” failed, but the animatronics are not failures
  • Victor has a debt to pay off
  • With “Project Security” over, Victor decides that he should stop writing in this journal(?)
  • Victor decides to burn a “creepy journal” because “anything that William Afton had to say is obviously worthless”
  • He’s worried that his kids (almost certainly Jeremy and Vanessa) will get some ideas leaked onto them from Afton
  • He swears that he will give his kids[h][i] a good life until the day he dies.

Analysis:

  • Victor Miller used to be part of something called “Project Security”
  • It had something to do with William Afton, though what is unclear
  • The PizzaPlex animatronics (except possibly Monty, it’s unclear) were part of Project Security
  • Victor accumulated a large amount of debt (most likely from PS)
  • “Blue” and “Yellow” are probably Sun and Moon, meaning that A) the two of them used to be separate, and B) they weren’t always called Sun and Moon
  • Victor had William Afton’s journal
  • From things Kiwi has said in the past, it can be extrapolated that Vanessa was inspired by William Afton after reading his journal before Victor burned it.

Also that symbol appeared, this time as

M

7

Chapter 8

Incident report, August 10, 2076:

  • Bonnie took heavy damage from a bowling ball rack falling on him. He was fixed, but the technicians didn’t use anesthesia, so he was hurt. Badly.

October 11, 2076:

  • Bonnie passed out during the day, and apparently has been having trouble sleeping.

Analysis:

  • Animatronics SLEEP and can FEEL PAIN. Yikes.

Chapter 9:

Incident report, March 23, 2083

  • DJ stayed on stage after a show and performed a song making fun of Jeremy. The response was to make him lose his speaking and have his headphones melded to his head.
  • Jeremy demanded that Chica be punished for eating and Roxy be punished for playing aggressively.

Analysis:

  • F**k Jeremy.

Chapter 10:

Incident report, May 3, 2083

  • Vanessa “lost connection” with a security camera - that appears to have been destroyed - and when it came back, a STAFF bot had been put in a damaged fountain headless.

June 4-20

  • Chica had a “foul odor”. Apparently, she had started eating garbage because of “hunger pains” (likely from NOT BEING ALLOWED TO EAT, JEREMY)
  • Jeremy decided to let her keep doing that, as it's a cheap way to get rid of garbage.

Analysis:

  • Vanessa was obviously the one who messed with the camera and destroyed the STAFF bot, right? Like, we’re all in agreement on this?
  • Also, once again, f**k Jeremy.

Chapter 11

Incident report, Jan 17, 2087

  • Roxy and Monty started fighting, and it escalated. Greatly.
  • Jeremy is “on his last nerve with that dog.”

Analysis:

  • Roxy and Monty hate each other (I think we knew that already? We at least knew from the Chapter 10 Gregory section that Monty thinks they all hate him)
  • Also, for what will no doubt not be the last time, f**k Jeremy.

Chapter 12

Incident report, April 10, 2082

  • Sun and Moon are refusing to give out candy because the kids are addicted to them.
  • The kids are also having sleep trouble because of them
  • Jeremy told the public that the candies were tampered with and are being discontinued (unclear how true that is.)
  • He also told “the puppet to keep its mouth shut.”

Analysis:

  • IS THERE COCAINE IN THE SUNDROP/MOONDROP CANDIES?
  • Also, for the zillionth time, f**k Jeremy

Chapter 13:

Entry 1, March 13, 2061:

  • Redacted. The whole thing is redacted. The f**k[j][k]?

Entry 2, April 3, 2961

  • "Subject 1" is getting to be quite a lot.
  • He's very curious (and big)
  • When someone almost saw him, he realized why he can't leave
  • Victor says that "he's more than just AI.”

Analysis

  • So… Subject One is clearly one is the animatronics, right?
  • He asked when he could leave. More evidence to my theory that these guys have souls. If he were just programed, he wouldn't know he could leave
  • Also, he big. All the animatronics are, but DJ is especially big. Is he subject 1? It would make sense, the bigger something is the more likely it is to have been older (old computers used to be an entire room, and were also less powerful than the phone I'm currently writing on)

Update:

  • I also brightened up the image for entry 1 and put the audio through audacity. Nothing hidden either place. That entry was REALLY redacted.

Chapter 14

A whole bunch of Bonnie incidents from January 2082

  • Most of them don't seem lore relevant, just proving that Jeremy is a piece of shit
  • The important thing is that Bonnie was still alive in late January of 2082

Chapter 15

Fazbear work email: Jeremy to Vanessa

  • Vanessa’s apparently been buying spare animatronic parts and not making logs of it
  • Moon isn’t allowed to call the police, because apparently he’s been clogging it up with a whole lot of nonsense. Instead, he has to tell Vanessa what the issue is and have her call them.

Vanessa’s response

  • She was supposedly trying to improve the endoskeletons because Jeremy “[doesn’t] let her do anything anymore.” I definitely believe her, 100%, totally. (/s /s /s)
  • She also says she’ll “deal with Moon” and thinks she “knows what’s going on with him.” That’s not suspicious at all.

Incident report: Feb 1, 2087

  • Roxy left her post during a match to go yell at Monty, and it got out of hand.
  • The animatronics were both out of order for the next two days, and were severely disciplined afterwards. They can no longer go into each other’s areas.

Analysis:

  • Moon’s extremely paranoid (I think we knew that already?)
  • Vanessa’s probably making new animatronics or something (It’s possibly — though unlikely — that she was telling the truth, and its equally possible — and a bit likelier — that she was working on her suit)

Other stuff revealed during the story part of the chapter:

  • We still don’t know what happened to Bonnie, but we find out that Monty trashed the Bowling Alley in a temper tantrum[l][m][n].
  • Bonnie got trashed because of something to do with his insomnia (probably constantly passing out.)

Chapter 16

A bunch of March 21, 2082 Incident reports:

  • Roxy:
  • Yelled at a child until they cried
  • Hid in the middle of the maze to cry
  • Assaulted a kid for torturing her
  • Chica:
  • Ate a cake she was supposed to serve
  • Ate a bunch of uncooked stuff when she was supposed to be cooking
  • Was forced by Jeremy to vomit it all up and then clean the floors
  • Freddy:
  • Froze up on stage, leading to the show getting canceled.
  • Jeremy insisted that it wasn’t stage fright, it was just the others not syncing to Monty being there yet
  • DJ Music Man:
  • Yelled at the managers for torturing Freddy in response to getting stage fright.
  • Jeremy said that if this happens again with DJ, he’ll “do worse than shocking him.”
  • Monty:
  • Threw a bowling ball instead of rolling it[o]
  • Caused more chaos because of simple clumsiness
  • Stormed off to his room
  • Jeremy insisted that the gator be kept up every night until he learned how to bowl properly.
  • Jeremy:
  • In addition to everything I’ve already mentioned, for the first three he said “Tell [them] that [they’ll] be next if [they] don’t get [their] act together”*

*Which pronoun he used depended on who he was talking about, but I hate saying like “tell he/she” or whatever, so I just used brackets.

Email from Vanny to Jerry:

  • The animatronics got into an argument and then went off to sob in their separate rooms
  • At least in 2082, Vanessa seemed to care about the animatronics, and definitely hated Jeremy as much as we do.

Analysis:

  • We now know that in March of ‘82, Bonnie had been trashed. Given that in January of ‘82 he was still around, we now know for certain that he was destroyed within the first 3 months of ‘82.
  • Also, as Vanessa herself said (wow can’t believe I’m siding with her on something but ok): “Eat shit, Jerry.”

Chapter 17

More journal entries from Victor

  • Entry 3: January 3, 2062
  • Entry 4: January 18, 2062
  • “Subject two” was a failure as well, but he “brought life back into Subject One”
  • Subject One has been feeling depressed as of late, and Victor theorizes he may not have been able to help because One doesn’t like him.
  • He hopes that “Subject Three” will be better, and says that “The Awakening” will be “perfect” this time. That’s not threatening at all…

Analysis:

  • So, this has GOT to be related to Project Security, right?
  • Also, I am at this point quite confident in my crackpot theory that the animatronics were made using human souls or something, and these subjects are the later animatronics/are early versions of the later ones.

Chapter 18

Incident report, December 23, 2077:

  • There was a routine Fire Drill, and the kids were taken outside under Sun’s watch
  • While they were out there, Sun was covering his eyes to let Moon feel the warmth (because neither of them had ever been outside the PizzaPlex), and a girl named Crystal[t][u][v][w][x][y][z] was abducted by a pedo named Todd Finley
  • Sun, upon realizing this, chased Finley down, but lost quite a bit of time because his manager, thinking he was running away, shocked him.
  • Sun caught up to Finley, who threatened to kill Crystal if Sun didn’t back off
  • He responded by giving an extremely intense, out-of-character threat, saying something to the effect of “Let her go, or I’ll cause you to ‘have an accident’ here and now like the ones this company is known for.”
  • Finley started shooting, and Sun attacked him, tearing off an arm and clearly intending to kill him.
  • He got himself and Crystal back to the PizzaPlex, but he was badly damaged.
  • Victor decides he needs to give Sun and Moon a real security feature.

Work email:

  • Victor insists the Shock Collars no longer be used
  • Kiwi doesn’t list the dates for these emails, but it can be assumed that it was because of the events on 12/23/2077.

Analysis:

  • Holy SHIT, Sun, that was intense!
  • Jeremy REinstated the shock collars in 2082. This was actually mentioned then, but because we hadn’t seen them removed, I thought nothing of it. Now, at this point, I’m just wondering - does Jerry even know how to run a business? Like, I get that he’s a piece of shit and all that, but he reinstalled the shock collars, even though they were removed to prevent kidnappings. What?

Chapter 19

  • A bunch of emails from Vanessa to Jeremy that boil down to "all I want is a different job please let me out"
  • Much more interesting is the lore we got in-episode (in writing this in bed at 11 pm so this is gonna be a bit weird, but here's what I got)
  • Vanessa has a reason for why she's torturing kids, and seems inspired by Afton's research, even if she also hates him
  • Bonnie was scrapped (still unclear why) without any advance notice
  • Vanny knows how to erase the animatronics' memories
  • The animatronics are literally unable to hear her explanation (it just makes static for them)

Chapter 20

Project Security Work Email: March 2, 2082. From Jeremy Miller

  • Monty was a failure, and Project Security is finally being officially shut down
  • Vanessa apparently had some plan that went kablooey, it involved Monty, and it wasted a lot of money.
  • Future animatronics will be made using simple AI, not human souls or whatever the hell it's been.

Series of emails between Jerry and Vanny

  • Vanny is pissed that Jerry didn't actually use her idea, that according to him, involved actual murder
  • Vanny responds by rightfully pointing out that Jeremy runs the place like a boot camp and electrocutes animatronics who act it out
  • He says that Project Security failed, and the "soulless zombies" aren't truly alive
  • He then reveals that Project Security used so much money that Mrs Miller died because Victor couldn't pay for hospital bills, and then Project Security failed to save her as well

Analysis:

  •  Ummm…. WHAT?!?
  • So, I guess everything we thought we knew about Project Security is wrong. It did not end in 2066, it did not have anything to do with Afton aside from the use of his journals for… something, and it does not seem to be about securing anything.
  • This is about using souls or ghosts (that's gotta be what it is, right?) for the purposes of bringing animatronics to life, and it was still how they were made up through Monty.

Chapter 21

  • Well, let's just get the obvious out of the way: James is dead, seemingly mangled horribly although my brain is refusing to process that. Bonnie is alive.

Emails between Jerry and Vanny:

  • Bonnie was scrapped bc of insomnia (we knew this already)
  • Jerry is doing something (it's clearly whatever Project Security is), bringing Monty to life, by using the body of someone named Jack.
  • According to Vanny, this won't work because Jack's death wasn't violent enough
  • This trick uses something called an Awakening, with clearly uses a corpse

Security email:

  • They need to make sure that Bonnie isn't killed, just heavily sedated and hopefully uninjured. They clearly doesn't work out

Analysis:

  • I think I understand what Project Security is, but not why Victor started it (I'll explain in the "lingering questions" section)

Chapter 22

Entry 5: February 6, 2063

  • Another redacted entry, beginning with "after nine fai-" before being cut off. My guess is that he's about to say "After nine failed attempts[aa][ab][ac]", although the next one may disprove that

Entry 6: March 16, 2063

  • Subject 3 is, like Subject 2, "Fairly humanoid", leading to Victor deciding to give them different eye colors and letting them name themselves. They choose names inspired by their eye colors: Snowman, Bubblegum, and Comet.
  • They could've used "their old names", but that just makes them sad. Hmmm…
  • Comet is doing better since something happened with "The Replica". Bubblegum helps him deal with it.
  • Also, said Replica is now a place where they like to play. Victor specifically said that it looks like a pizzeria, though, so that probably impacts something.

Analysis:

  • Ok, I got NOTHING for the first part. It's from before subject 3, so it can't be based around a tenth subject. But as for the second, there's a lot.
  • First of all, now that we know the eye colors, I think I know who each of them are. Snowman is DJ, Bubblegum is Chica, and Comet is Roxy. Here me out.
  • DJ: White eyes, really big, not humanoid, male.
  • Chica: pink eyes, humanoid, really kind, seems to really care about Comet.
  • Roxy: we know from something Kiwi said in the comments that Roxy is trans, which allows this to make more sense, not less. Also, the name Comet implies black eyes, which I'm pretty sure is her original color.
  • Also, in case there was any doubt about them having souls, the line about their original names makes it extremely clear.
  • Lastly, are these Afton victims? I wouldn't think so, except that they seem to have trauma regarding a pizzeria (or at least Comet does), so it would check out.

Addendum:

  • Never mind about Roxy. I was wrong. Not only did she originally have green eyes, but comets aren’t even black. They’re blue. In that case, Comet must be Freddy.

Chapter 23

Stuff worth noting in the chapter itself:

  • Sun and Moon used to work as waiters at Fresh Start
  • They have "gotten used" to sharing a body,  and aren't "stewing in resentment" anymore, which implies that they didn't previously share a body. That can mean a few different things…
  • They had shock collars on in the early days, but Victor never really used them, mostly just having them there to keep the public at ease.
  • While they made friends with Vannie, Jerry never liked the animatronics, and was always scared of them.
  • The Miller children are about two years apart, with Vannie at 9 and Jerry at 11 as of the flashback
  • Mrs. Miller is dying
  • Vannie wants to bring her back after she dies, thinking "that Afton guy did it."
  • Mom dead lol
  • After several years, Vanessa started working as a technician, until she was demoted to night guard.
  • There's an underground pizzeria, in perfect condition, under the pizzaplex. FNAF 6 pizza place like in Canon?
  • Finally we get Vanessa's full motive!
  • After seeing Afton's discovery (Agony) and how it can bring people back to life, she wants to try and keep people alive forever via Project Security

Incident report, 2080:

  • After messing up during a show, Chica "stress ate" a ton of food
  • Victor suggests that the reason that happened is that her programming repeated the same thing over and over so that she could get back on track

Patch requests, presumably from about the same time:

  • Everyone needs better security

Project Security email, 2080:

  • Vanessa wants to open the project back up
  • "Our generation of animatronics" (which could mean any number of things) have no connection with the MCI
  • The animatronics are beginning to more closely resemble their "causes", whatever that means (but likely their causes of death)
  • Then, we get a list that seems to confirm what animatronic each "subject" seems to be:
  • Subject 4 = Sun/Moon
  • Subject 3 = Freddy
  • 6 = Roxy
  • 2 = Bonnie
  • 5 = Chica
  • This was actually a mistake Kiwi made, she answered in the comments, this was supposed to be today’s lore of 2080.
  • Plus, the lack of DJ implies that I was right about him being Subject 1 as well.
  • She then talks about how Agony is important.
  • She says that if they use “The Replica” and an Afton-style rabbit suit, they can have something similar to the MCI, to hopefully get the same results.

Back and forth between Vanessa and Victor, no date given:

  • Vanessa is unhappy with her new position in the company, and says that "this isn't what she meant" by restarting the project
  • Victor says that her position (behavior tracking) is important, as well as reminding her why they started the project.
  • And it’s also implied here that the reason she was demoted is because she wants to restart Project Security.

Analysis:

  • Sun and Moon didn’t always share a body. In chapter 7, Victor said something about them having trouble coordinating, but I still can’t tell if the problem is them having been animatronics in separate bodies, or the fact that they had separate bodies in their other lives.
  • Victor never wanted to use the shock collars. I guess Jeremy disagreed.
  • Jeremy was always scared of the animatronics, which seems to be why he hates them so much now that he’s in charge.
  • Vanessa was demoted to behavior tracker because she wanted to restart Project Security, which Victor was against. (Also Victor died the next year. Hmm…)
  • The underground pizzeria is the same as “The Replica that the animatronics used to be housed in and play “The night-guard Game”

  • There are two big possibilities for the “our generation” line:
  • Option A is that she means that the “Subjects” are the same as the modern animatronics (aside from Monty obviously), and is just saying that they’re not the MCI victims.
  • Option B is a lot more interesting. It would be that the “Subjects” are different from the modern animatronics, which opens up a whole new can of worms:
  • If that’s the case, then how are the modern animatronics connected to the “Subjects”, as is clearly shown to be the case in the same email where she says this?
  • Also, does that mean that the Subjects are connected to the MCI? How? Why? I thought the MCI victims were supposed to be at peace, since the UCN/Help Wanted/Security Breach lore isn’t canon to the rewrite? What?

Chapter 24

Entry 7: May 20, 2063

  • "It only-"
  • Redacted

Entry 8: September 19, 2063

  • There are two people inside of Subject 4 (The daycare attendant), but they're not sure why even that many
  • There are three possibilities Victor can think of:
  • DID: unlikely because there's only two[ad][ae][af]
  • Parasitic Twin Syndrome in life. (That's similar to conjoined twins, but one twin is fully dependent on the other, as they didn't develop quite enough. Don't Google it.) He suggests that the parasite still had a soul, so the death may have led to this.
  • Possibly some damage to the [REDACTED][ag][ah][ai]
  • Whatever it is, they started calling them “The Twins" and gave them two heads. This may have been a bad move, as that now argue constantly
  • The animatronics learned of the young Millers and asked to see them. Victor obliged.
  • Jerry hated them
  • Vannie loved them, saying she liked how scary they were. That made Victor think that maybe he should make them have a somewhat more acceptable look, so that no one else is scared of them.
  • Last, he says that there will only be one more subject. Totally…

Analysis:

  • This one doesn’t actually tell us all that much.
  • It confirms that Sun and Moon have always shared a body, so in chapter 7 when he referred to them as the “Puppet Twins”, that wasn’t saying they used to be separate, like I thought was possible.
  • It confirms that they used to have much scarier bodies, so while they were always humanoid, they were not always in Fazbear bodies.

Chapter 25

Stuff in the chapter

  • The Replica has a Pirate's Cove. Based on the fight, my theory is that it's a replica of the FNAF 1 pizzeria
  • When Gregory is inside Freddy, he can hear a slight heartbeat

Project Security email. Vanessa to Victor. December 2081

  • She begs him not to use "that thing[aj][ak]" (Project Security) on himself
  • She says that it's not ready, and if he's desperate to test it, they can find a donor.
  • She "sees what he was doing now"

Analysis:

  • Welp. We know how Victor died.

Chapter 26

Stuff in the chapter:

  • Vanessa and Moon make mention of a guy he tore out the throat of. It's unclear as of yet who, but my theory is it's that Finley guy from before
  • Vanessa blames the Animatronics for 25's lore
  • She says that he was so obsessed with project Security that he was willing to die for it. And he did.
  • The Animatronics don't know much about how they're made, but they know that the chest cavity is the most vital part. Probably cuz that's where the organs are…

Post-chapter lore:

[GA]-26

It appears as the same letters over number symbol as always

Chapter 27

  • Freddy has "comet blue eyes", in case we weren't sure what subject he was lol
  • No real lore, but there are two symbols
  • O-27
  • [OR-27]
  • It might be worth noting that O-27 was red, and [OR-27] was green. I dunno

Chapter 28

  • Entry 9: March 19, 2064
  • "Even though-"
  • REDACTED
  • From the voice acting, we can guess that something bad happened
  • Was this when Mrs. Miller died? Did Chica eat a person? WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!
  • Then the screen goes to black, and in some small red text, the words "not yet" I’m SORRY?! But who the hell said that?
  • Entry 10: April 14, 2064
  • They “Found a solution.”
  • Apparently, Subject 5 (Chica) was in large amounts of pain (seemingly for at least a month) because she had a sense of hunger, but no stomach or digestive system.
  • The other 4 had a whole host of questions, mostly about flavor and if she remembers anything. Bubblegum (Bonnie) is helping to keep her happy.
  • Chica gets the nickname peaches, both because of her eyes and because of her favorite food.
  • Victor swears not to make any more mistakes.

Gregory Epilogue 1

  • During the chapter
  • The entirety of chapters 1-28 took place during the night of June 28th.
  • Log from Vanessa dated to June 23, 2087 (so 5 days before Gregory gets stuck.)
  • She complains about the animatronics getting in the way of her kidnapping James, because while Monty was chipped, his chip failed due to water damage.
  • At this point, the other 3 were still not chipped, and apparently Moon’s chip had failed.
  • James was still alive (although she had kidnapped him) at the end of the night.
  • She’s writing this down to “improve on it next time,” although she hopes she won’t need “a next time”. It’s not specified how or where this is being written down, and makes comment both to burning and to redacting at various points, which gives us exactly zero clues.
  • She writes about how much she doesn’t want to brutally murder him, but oh well, she’s still a monster.
  • Analysis:
  • This tells us that James walked into the PizzaPlex five days before Gregory
  • We’re still not sure how we’re getting these logs, nor where exactly they’re being written down. Kiwi said in the comments at one point that we will find that out eventually.

Chapter 29

Just a symbol

A-29[al][am]

Gregory #2

  • Literally nothing.

Chapter 30

X-30

Gregory #3

Subject (REDACTED): Exsanguination due to multiple gunshot wounds to the back.

(Exsanguination - Severe blood loss/draining an animal of blood.)

NO SIGN OF FORCED ENTRY

DIED ON THE OPERATING TABLE

(Those last two appeared as red text forcing its way on top of the text on screen.)

Chapter 31

.-31

Gregory #4

A series of notebook pages written by Vanessa, crumpled and marked. There’s a lot here, I’ll go over each one in detail then give a final analysis of them. They’re all dated June 27.

  • First Page:
  • She’s apparently not happy about this. Doesn’t change that this was murder, but she’s not happy about it.
  • Separated after the “OH MY GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE?!” with the text “stop crying” onscreen
  • She realized something regarding James and Jeremy
  • Ends with “no no no no no no no” after “I think he’s”-
  • The final part is cut off with “don’t act like you’re sorry now”
  • Second Page:
  • She’s asking if Gregory (who James was apparently calling out to) will be here next
  • She contemplates if James was something, although it’s never stated what.
  • Interrupted after “What if he was” with “your tears mean nothing to me.”
  • “He” was always secretive about something, and “she” didn’t want to hear “his” name.
  • We heard in the previous chapter about Jeremy’s wife. And if your husband had an affair, you wouldn’t want to hear about it. OH NOOOOO.
  • She insists that “it” is a coincidence. Which leads me to believe that whatever it is (of which I have some theories) is not.
  • She’s worried about if Sun and Moon find out.
  • Third Page:
  • She spends a long time rambling about afterlives, and it is genuinely FASCINATING for worldbuilding.
  • No religion is 100% right about the afterlife, but there’s “overlap” enough to know pretty close to for sure what happens.
  • She knows that he (James) will be powered by vengeance when he returns.
  • She still needs to deposit the teeth, but even with all of it, she’s unsure if her “evasive measures” will work. To make James forget about her?
  • Interrupted after “He has to come back” with “I will find you.”
  • Interrupted at the end with “you’re only worried about yourself”
  • Fourth Page:
  • She tries to remind herself that she “did this for the good of humanity” or whatever.
  • She apologizes to her parents, who we know from before are very much dead.
  • Interrupted at the end with “they are so disappointed in you”

Analysis:

  • First of all. The text. And the interruptions. I would make it a question, but considering the context and “to me,” I think we all know there’s only one option.
  • I’m willing to bet (considering the font, the same static, and the fact that he’s the only one we have evidence for) that he’s also the one who gives us the lore, redacts the lore, and notates the lore (such as Chapter 28’s “not yet” and stuff.)
  • Secondly: The “J” connection. We still don’t know much. Here’s what we got:
  • Vanessa made a connection, specifically after the comment that she tried to pretend James was Jeremy.
  • “He” (Jeremy or Victor, I’m guessing) was secretive about something, and “she” (either Jessica Miller or Jeremy’s Unnamed Wife) didn’t want to hear about it. If your husband had an affair, he’d want to keep it under wraps, and you’d want to avoid hearing about it.

Chapter 32

In-chapter:

  • The animatronics don’t know how Victor died, as there were a series of contradictory answers given.
  • Jeremy has a daughter. That… that is very interesting.
  • Freddy’s Security Mode activated despite there not being any children. I think I know why.
  • He’s the third-oldest animatronic, just after DJ and Bonnie.
  • Look at the causes discussed in Chapter 23: Sun saw a dog. Roxy’s ego was bruised. Chica leaned into an eating disorder. Freddy panicked because he thought the kids had gone missing.
  • The others all have things associated with children, teens, and in Chica’s case young adults. Freddy had the protective instinct of an adult. I’m willing to bet I know what caused Security Mode: The kids were threatened, and the adult could tell.

Gregory #5

Subject [REDACTED]: Exsanguination due to multiple injuries caused by animal attack.

[OFFERED TO DOGSIT]

  • Reminder: Exsanguination means severe blood loss

Analysis:

  • This is the second time we’ve seen one of these, the first being “Blood loss by gunshots to the back.”
  • This one we know for a fact is Sun/Moon, as 3 and 23 together confirm that Sun/Moon died via dog[an][ao]
  • This means that, if it was still unclear, another of them died because of gunshot wounds that “had no signs of forced entry” somehow.
  • The “no sign of forced entry” could imply that it was suicide. Which leads me to believe that Roxy may have been the one who died on the operating table of gunshot wounds to the back. (See “Answers to Lingering Questions” for why I think Roxy killed herself.)
  • However, suicide doesn’t typically go to the back. It’s not easy to reach all the way around to your back.
  • That leads to the other option: Freddy died because of something to do with the dark. It’s possible that he was in a dark room and there was a shooter
  • There is always the option that it’s DJ because he didn’t show his cause at any point, but that’s boring and doesn’t interest me until I have stronger evidence for it.
  • My current theories regarding causes of death: Sun/Moon was dogsitting and got attacked by an animal; either Freddy was attacked by a shooter or Roxy committed suicide via bullets, but for some reason shot herself in the back instead of somewhere easier to reach.
  • Even though it has more holes, I like the Roxy theory more for two reasons:
  • 1 - I theorized in 32 that the reason Freddy’s Security Mode activated is because he’s an adult, and while shootings do happen to adults, it feels more probable to me that he would’ve died in a more protective way (and a way that had more to do with the dark)
  • 2 - I love the narrative implication of Roxy dying via bullet and then being in charge of Laser Tag. And we all know how much Kiwi loves to emotionally torture her characters.

Edits from the next day:

  • Kiwi confirmed in the comments that “no sign of forced entry” means that there wasn’t any kind of struggle for the assailant to get in. Quote: “so it appears that the victim willingly LET the person inside, meaning that the victim knew the person enough to allow them inside of their home without a struggle :)”
  • That simultaneously confirms and deconfirms my theories
  • On the one hand, that could VERY well mean that Roxy (Or Monty, if my Victor Miller theory is accurate), killed herself
  • On the other hand, Kiwi’s comment specifies that “the victim let the person inside,” somewhat tipping her hand that there was, in fact, an assailant
  • As much as I hate it, that actually gives the most evidence for DJ:
  • Roxy, if I’m right (and I have to just assume I am until we have something else to go off of) killed herself, meaning there was no assailant
  • Victor Miller most likely also killed himself, as we know from Chapter 25 that he used himself as the final Project Security test subject. Again, no assailant
  • Freddy is more likely, but his cause seems to be more related to losing people, and I find it very unlikely that he would’ve willingly let someone into this house
  • We know that it’s almost certainly not Bonnie or Chica, as their causes are related to insomnia and eating respectively
  • That really just leaves DJ, who’s a wild card because we don’t know anything about him.

Gregory #7

Incident Report: June 12, 2081

  • Some teenagers tried to steal some shit.
  • Moon was sent to deal with it, but then he got jumped and was beaten almost to death.
  • His head was damaged to the point that he was left physically shut down but mentally all there
  • The teens used a saw to chop his head off
  • Moon regained mobility due presumably to the head injuries no longer being applicable
  • He was left decapitated for 13 minutes.
  • It was later revealed that while he was headless, he managed to scrawl the following message into the carpet:
  • IT BIT ME
  • TELL MOM I’M OKAY
  • He asked to have his memory wiped.
  • Victor instituted a “knockout” state in case this happened again.
  • He suspects Vanessa might be right about them remembering more as they survive, but they don’t want to remember.
  • He doesn’t want to do this on anyone else, so “if we try again, it will have to be me.”

Analysis:

  • Before the elephant in the room, let’s deal with the other stuff.
  • This provides evidence of a few things:
  • 1 - We now have some idea what led to Moon becoming so anxious
  • 2 - I don’t think Sun/Moon being twins was caused by them having DID or anything, as they’re both shown to have flashbacks to the same death. If one alter was fronting when it happened, the other shouldn’t be aware of it I don’t think.[ap][aq][ar][as][at][au]
  • If you have more info about how DID works, feel free to correct me.
  • Rain Andersson pointed out the possibility that it’s OSDD 1b, which involves multiple alters and shared memories. Also the less fun option that she just didn’t do as much research as normal.
  • Now, it is relevant to assume, the elephant in the room.
  • I. F***ING. CALLED IT.
  • Victor used himself as a test subject. And when Bonnie got scrapped, Monty replaced him possessed by Victor Miller.

Gregory #8

Subject [REDACTED]: Asphyxiation due to manual strangulation

Multiple Suspects

  • In case you aren’t aware, Asphyxiation means death by loss of oxygen.

Analysis:

  • This unfortunately tells us almost nothing, aside from “it wasn’t Roxy,” as I lean toward Roxy having killed herself in one way or another. Multiple suspects means this was a murder, and manual strangulation means that it was someone doing it with their hands, rather than a noose or something.

Gregory #9

Subject [REDACTED]: Exsanguination due to multiple lacerations to wrists.

bathtub

Analysis:

  • So this one’s Roxy.
  • Seriously, this dam near confirms my theory about Roxy having offed herself. Slitting your wrist is one of the most common ways of killing yourself, along with guns, and for teenagers it’s the most common (don’t quote me on that)
  • And this is just anecdotal, but any story I’ve heard about almost always involves attempting in the bathtub.
  • So Roxy having been a teenager with low self-esteem who slit her wrists in the bathtub and now bites her wrists in anxiety makes way too much sense.

Chapter 38

Entry 11: November 4, 2064: “This was our last-”

  • Victor clearly sounded sad.
  • On-screen text: “Not without proper clearance.[av][aw][ax]

Entry 12: November 20, 2064

  • Subject Six is “Jade.” (Jade? Like green? Like Roxy’s eye color? Just sayin’)
  • She was initially isolated, but “Peaches” (Chica/5) hit it off with her. Because of that, she’s now “stable.”
  • Victor knew picking “her” would be risky, but he didn’t want to let someone named Cora lose her daughter completely.
  • Unfortunately, they yet again made some kind of mistake. Victor never thought they would need more than two or three “subjects” before they got this figured out.
  • He wants to keep taking care of them, but he doesn’t have the money for it, and without evidence of this working he can’t make another.

Chapter 39

C/39

[har/39]

Gregory 12

We’re finally getting the unredacted entries WOOO!!

Entry 1: March 13, 2061

  • Thirteen people didn’t survive “the harvesting and awakening process,” but the fourteenth donor successfully became Subject 1.
  • It took 78 hours for him to do much of anything, but by 172, he was communicating.
  • He made a number of unsettling comments, such as “I can’t feel my face” and “where is my skin?”
  • Victor can’t really blame him; he’s been through a lot.
  • Subject 1 had no memory of his life before this.
  • He’s struggling to adjust to how large his body is, as the mechanisms needed to keep him alive take up a lot of space.

Analysis:

  • Confirmation that Subject 1 (Snowman) is DJ because of how large he is
  • Okay, so PS has more going on than I initially realized. I knew it somehow involved people dying, but… “Harvesting and Awakening?” Somehow I actually have more questions.
  • Despite being Entry 1, we’re still well past when it started, and I desperately want more information.

Chapter 40

There's no actual lore, but there are a few things of note anyway:

  1. Somehow, Moon remembers the incident with his head being cut off. It's possible he was just told about it, or maybe Victor didn't erase as much as we were led to believe
  2. Moon has killed a man. Zack, the person in question, was an employee who made the Puppet Twins trust him, and then tried to rape one of their little kids. Moon lost it.

Gregory 13

Subject [REDACTED]: Exsanguination due to multiple stab wounds to the torso.

Robbery gone wrong.

Found dead by morning.

Analysis:

Gregory 15

Subject [RECACTED]: Cardiac arrest due to extreme starvation

87 pounds

Found too late

Analysis:

  • Welp. We know how Chica died.

Chapter 43

In-chapter

  • HER FAVORITE FOOD IS PEACHES AND THAT ALSO USED TO BE HER NAME AWWWW!!!
  • Acknowledgement of the Fresh Start Diner, and the fact that it opened in 2066. Not new, but quite possibly the first time since the very start it's been brought up in a chapter
  • Fully canonizing that Roxy used to be Foxy the Pirate (and apparently hated the theme)
  • Apparently, they didn't even have fully articulate faces in the Diner era.

Gregory 16

Entry 3:

  • I'm out of town rn. I'll update this when I have my computer again

Characters[ay][az][ba][bb][bc][bd][be][bf][bg]

While mine is more in-depth on just a few major characters, this is a link to a doc from Sapphire864 with pretty much every character in the fic.

Jeremy Miller:

  • Vanessa’s brother who’s taking over Fazbear Entertainment;
  • seems to be some kind of power-mad dictator.
  • Huge piece of shit.
  • About two years older than Vanessa, making him 31.
  • I have a sneaking suspicion that he had an affair with Gregory’s mom, and that’s how James (and possibly also Gregory) exists.
  • Has a wife and a daughter, the latter of whom visits the PizzaPlex and Sun/Moon every day.

Vanessa Miller: Vanessa. Duh. (also it’s worth noting for the sake of timelines that she’s 29 as of the “present day” section). Dead as of chapter 26.

Victor Miller:

  • Creator of the PizzaPlex
  • Jeremy and Vanessa’s father
  • Was a part of something called “Project Security” which has something to do with William Afton (I have more about that in the “Lingering Questions” section.)

Gregory Cooper: the protagonist. Didn't expect to need to write anything, but there's a lot to unpack:

  • His mom is extremely abusive
  • She also wants him to be submissive and “good” all the time.
  • He and James ran away from home
  • She is mentioned to have hit him and locked him in a car trunk many times in the past.
  • She has financial problems, likely due to her alcoholism. (or at least that’s part of it, based on how the house was described it doesn’t exactly sound like quitting cold turkey would fix it overnight.)
  • Just a note: Her name is Ruth Cooper
  • He has a brother named James who Vanessa killed for the purposes of Agony and Project Security.
  • Also he’s ten, that’s worth knowing. And James was 12.
  • In the comments on Epilogue #2, Kiwi is asked a question about where his dad is. Her answer is “:)” Oh NOOOO.
  • He uses his mom’s last name. Generally speaking, that’s what happens when the father disappears so quickly that the child is born with only one person who could be considered a legal guardian. Typically as the result of a short-lived fling with someone. OH NOOOOOO.

*Revealed in a comment.

Timeline[bh][bi][bj][bk][bl][bm]

2055: Project Security begins, although what exactly the start of it entails is still unclear.

2056: Jeremy Miller is born

2058: Vanessa Miller is born

2061: Subject 1 (DJ) is successfully created following thirteen failed attempts

2065 or 2066*: Victor shuts down Project Security.

2066: Victor opens something called the “Fresh Start Diner”, which is the Fredbear’s Family Diner to the PizzaPlex, essentially

2071**: The PizzaPlex Opens

2075: James is born

2076: Bonnie took serious damage and had to be repaired without being numbed. He had a breakdown with Freddy.

Later in 2076: Bonnie passed out while carrying a child, and appeared to have some form of insomnia.

2077: Gregory is born

2080: Vanessa is demoted from technician to behavior tracker, because she wanted to restart Project Security.

December 2081: Victor Miller dies, his son Jeremy takes over the company

Early 2082: Bonnie was scrapped and replaced by Monty.[bn][bo][bp]

2087: The Gregory section (aka 99% of the rewrite)

  • June 23: James walks into the PizzaPlex all by himself, gets kidnapped, and is presumably killed shortly afterwards, although we don’t technically know.
  • June 28: Gregory goes in himself and spends a night there, being picked up the morning of the 29th.

*Conjecture based on the fact that 2066 is when the Fresh Start Diner was opened and Subject 5 (Chica) was created in 2064.

**That’s working backwards from the “that was 16 years ago” line at the end of the prologue. It checks out, because the incident reports are 2072-2077

Crackpot Theories

(Just remember, this is just my speculation based on what we have, don’t take anything as certain!)

  • Are the REDACTED entries that way because of memory alterations?
  • We know that's a thing Vannie does, so it makes sense for someone to have censored the memories, but that also opens up a whole new can of worms.
  • Are we getting this lore thanks to the Animatronics? If so, how?
  • Are other lore things altered as well? How much of this actually happened?
  • Is… Is Monty Victor Miller?
  • It would sort of track. We know Monty was caused by Project Security, and we know that Victor died because he used himself as the final test subject. It’s a definite possibility.
  • So, like… James is the one who’s redacting everything, right? Or at least who put that text on-screen in Gregory #4, in the exact same font as the letter-number symbols and the “not yet” in 28? Are we all on the same page about this?
  • I think the Odd Numbered entries are about someone dying.
  • Several of them have Victor sound very sad, and the ones after them always introduce a new subject. This is a minor thing, but it seems to make sense.
  • I think either Jeremy or Victor Miller is Gregory and James’ father.
  • One: Vanessa realized something regarding James, when she tried to pretend he was Jeremy
  • Two: “He” was secretive about something, and “she” never wanted to hear “his” name.
  • Three: Gregory and James have the same father.
  • Four: Gregory and Ruth share the last name Cooper. That’s generally the result of the father never being part of the family at all.
  • Five: Jeremy has a wife who is apparently quite wealthy according to one of the animatronics.
  • Six: Victor also had a wife
  • Now into conjecture:
  • If your husband had a two-year-long fling with someone (or even worse, had a fling and then went back two years later), you sure wouldn’t want to hear about it.
  • If Jeremy/Victor was never their legal guardian, it would make sense that Gregory and James would have their mother’s last name.
  • It also just fits narratively: Jeremy’s son is Vanessa’s first victim. Jeremy’s other son helped take down Vanessa, and showed the animatronics what freedom could look like. Not trying to predict the future, but based on Chapter 32 it looks like that might mean Jeremy’s son (or even better, Victor’s son) is gonna be the reason the animatronics can escape his iron grasp.
  • UPDATE: I WAS RIGHT AND I HATE IT.
  • All the prior evidence still stands, plus confirmation in Gregory #9 that Greg-Dad’s name starts with J and he “didn’t want to be a teen dad.” James was born when Jeremy was 19.[bq][br]

Lingering questions

  • What is Project Security?
  • Though we still don't know the why, I have a suspicion for the what.
  • Project Security is the process used to bring animatronics to life by using the ghost/soul/agony of a corpse that was killed in a painful or violent way.
  • Vanny trying to use it is seemingly why James was killed and Gregory is being hunted.
  • Update: It’s Agony. It’s absolutely Agony. Vanny has said that the deaths have to be violent, Kiwi has said that Remnant isn’t in play but Agony is, and we all saw  what happened to James. If it’s not agony, then I will quite literally eat my own hat.
  • Slight update: While “agony” is important, “Agony” (the actual substance that kept William Afton alive for so long) isn’t necessarily what’s in play. As far as I can tell it’s closer to “immense pain causes the spirits to in some way stick around.”
  • Why is Project Security?
  • I’m pretty sure it was created to try and prevent people from permanently dying, allowing them to be brought back from the dead. That’s kind of a random guess, but Victor has said that all the Animatronics were failed attempts, so obviously the goal was not what ended up happening.
  • Still got no idea why its called “Project Security”
  • I wasn’t questioning it before, figuring it was just like the end-of-night minigames in FNAF 2, 3, and 4, or the Retro CDs and duffel bags in Canon SB, but recently we’ve started getting more info.
  • Chapter 28’s REDACTED entry had the text “not yet” faintly in the background, and my god if that isn’t evidence that someone’s showing these to us then I don’t know what is.
  • Also, really the very existence of the REDACTED entries raises more eyebrows than Afton has victims. If the entries can be redacted, that means that there must be someone doing the redacting, and if that’s the case then we obviously must have gotten the lore from someone, which is just… how? I’m so confused.
  • What was the deal with Vanessa reacting to James’ name?
  • See the last Crackpot Theory.
  • How did DJ die?
  • We have at least some idea for most of them, but we’re still completely in the dark about him.
  • Why are the puppets two-in-one?
  • Victor’s Theories:
  • DID (explicitly stated as unlikely due to only being two alters)
  • Parasitic Twin, where one existed without the other’s knowledge
  • Damage to the REDACTED
  • Commentary:
  • While if this were real DID wouldn’t be that odd (two-alter systems do indeed happen, and you can ignore a lot of what I said in the Chapter-by-Chapter section), I’m leaning away from it just because Victor said so and he’s our one way into this universe.

  • What if the green letters are the key?

Answers to lingering questions:

  • What’s really Vanessa’s motive?
  • After seeing how Afton could use Agony to put people’s souls into robot bodies (MCI and stuff), she wants to make people immortal, or at least live way longer than they’re supposed to. She is also (most likely) motivated to make people immortal due to her mother passing on while she and Jerry were children as it is implied to be what sparked her interest in the robots souls
  • What happened to Bonnie?
  • He was scrapped due to his insomnia
  • (Update: I thought Monty ripped up his remains, that’s not true, the two of them never met. Monty just messed up Bonnie Bowl, which was the last remnant they had of him.)
  • WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO FOXY?
  • Kiwi confirmed it in the comments. Roxy is trans and used to be Foxy.[ca][cb][cc][cd]
  • Who are the Subjects?
  • Due to chapter 23’s lore, we’re almost certain of what they are:
  • 1 = DJ[ce][cf] Music Man (Snowman)
  • 2 = Bonnie (Bubblegum)
  • 3 = Freddy (Comet)
  • 4 = Sun/Moon (The Twins; Right/Left; Yellow/Blue)
  • 5 = Chica (Peaches)
  • 6 = Roxy (Jade)
  • If Monty was ever known as a subject, he was Subject 7, but I don’t think that’s ever been mentioned.[cg][ch]
  • How did each animatronic’s host die?
  • Because of Chapter 23, I think I know the answer (Except DJ):
  • Sun/Moon - Attacked by a dog. (April 7, 2073. Chapter 3. Gregilogue #5)
  • Idea from Sapphire864: The dog had rabies, which is why Sun is now such a clean freak
  • Freddy - Something regarding either darkness or people disappearing. (June 20, 2074. Chapter 5.)
  • Potential explanation: Freddy let someone into his home, then that someone cut the lights and started shooting. Freddy gathered people up and tried to protect them, but then was shot in the back.
  • This aligns both with the fact that someone was shot in the back, and “Betrayal Theory”
  • “Betrayal Theory” - Rain Andersson pointed something out. Freddy is afraid of losing someone. And being “shot in the back” is very similar to “stabbed in the back,” aka betrayed. Ergo, Freddy was shot in the back because he was betrayed, and that’s why he’s so overprotective.
  • Roxy - Suicide via slit wrists in a bathtub. (Chapter 6. Gregilogue #9)
  • Bonnie - Unclear, October 2076, check Chapter 8
  • It definitely has something to do with falling asleep, although there are many things that could be.[ci][cj]
  • Chica - Unclear, December 2080, check Chapter 23
  • Cardiac arrest due to extreme strangulation.
  • DJ - My theory (thank you Sapphire864 for this idea) is that he’s Asphyxiation, both because it fits narratively (died due to being strangled, then lost his voice) and because that’s the only one without a fairly solid theory to it.[ck][cl]
  • Additionally, could have something to do with cleithrophobia (the fear of being trapped in spaces with lack of oxygen) and the tunnels. He died from lack of O2, and now has to move around tunnels everywhere.

How The Subjects Died

Known Information

  • Gregory #3 - Subject B died of blood loss due to sudden gunshot wounds to the back. No sign of Forced Entry. Died on the operating table. [Probably Freddy]
  • Gregory #5 - Subject B died of blood loss due to an animal attack. Offered to dogsit [Sun/Moon]
  • Gregory #8 - Subject B died of Asphyxiation by manual strangulation. Multiple suspects.[cm][cn] [DJ?]
  • Gregory #9: Subject 6 died of blood loss due to lacerations to the wrist. Bathtub.[co] [Roxy]
  • Gregory #13: Subject ?? died of blood loss due to multiple stab wounds to the torso. Robbery gone wrong. Found dead by morning.
  • Gregory #15: Subject 5 died of cardiac arrest due to extreme starvation. 87 pounds. Found too late. [CHICA.]

Suspected Information

Gregory #3:

  • Most likely Freddy.
  • Chapter 5’s lore tells us that there was darkness and/or disappearances connected to his death
  • Rain Andersson’s “Betrayal Theory” suggests that “shot in the back” is supposed to be a parallel to the idea of “stabbed in the back,” aka betrayed.
  • The most likely explanation here is that Freddy let someone into his home (No sign of forced entry), then that person cut the lights (darkness). Freddy rounded people up and tried to protect them, but then was shot in the back.

Gregory #5:

  • Almost certainly Sun/Moon. We know he’s frightened of dogs (April 7, 2073. Chapter 3.) And there’s the “IT BIT ME” thing Moon carved into the carpet (Gregory #7)

Gregory #8:

  • This unfortunately tells us almost nothing, aside from “it wasn’t Roxy,” as I lean toward Roxy having killed herself in one way or another. Multiple suspects means this was a murder, and manual strangulation means that it was someone doing it with their hands, rather than a noose or something.
  • I lean toward it being either DJ or Monty, as we know nothing about the details of their deaths and this doesn’t fit as well with the other three, but for all I know it could’ve been someone getting revenge against either Bonnie or Chica for something. (But that one does feel unlikely)
  • Sapphire posited that this is probably DJ because that would narratively parallel all his tight spaces. I think I agree.

Gregory #9:

  • Roxy. It’s GOTTA be Roxy.
  • Chapter 6’s lore tells us that her cause of death had something to do with low self-esteem. For teenagers, slitting your wrists (often in the bathtub for some reason) is one of the most common methods of suicide.
  • So Roxy having been a teenager with low self-esteem who slit her wrists in the bathtub and now bites her wrists in anxiety makes way too much sense.

Gregory #13:

  • I have NO idea. While narratively this would parallel Sun/Moon (robbery gone wrong), they DEFINITELY died via dog. That’s way too obvious.
  • Bonnie and Monty are the only options left, and while this doesn’t fit with them super well, we have to assume it’s one of them.

Gregory #15:

  • Chica. It HAS to be Chica. Her entire thing is having an eating disorder, and the subject died at 87 pounds due to extreme starvation. Its GOTTA be her.

Current Theory:

  • DJ Music Man: Asphyxiation by manual strangulation
  • Freddy: Shot in the back after inviting someone into his home
  • Bonnie: Unclear
  • Chica: Cardiac arrest due to extreme starvation
  • Roxy: Slit her wrists in a bathtub
  • Sun/Moon: Attacked by a dog after offering to dogsit
  • Monty: Unclear

Here are the really old drawings Kiwi did of the original versions of the animatronics. I have no idea how accurate these are anymore, considering how battered they all are, but these were the og references

[cp][cq][cr]

[a]may be a narrative connection to how Chica helped Roxy? further supports suicide theory if so

[b]That... I really like that!

[c]just wanted to add about the "chapter number" thing she mentioned

[d]Can you actually add some text for that? I'm not sure what "the chapter number thing" refers to.

[e]When describing what lore went with what, Kiwi mentioned that the symbols for the puzzle that relied on chapter numbers would go with the chapters and the "murder diary" would go with Gregory's epilogues, then I noticed the correlation between the number in each symbol with the chapter number.

[f]Not sure if you have this anywhere, but just a note:

Yellow/Right = Sun

Blue/Left = Moon

Their eye colors were eventually swapped to reassure kids that the other was alright.

(This is straight from Kiwi; I asked in the comments of one of the videos)

[g]Cool!

[h]I interpreted it as the animatronics, but this is interesting too

[i]Oh. Yeah, in rewriting that makes sense. Could mean both, idk. I assumed kids because those were the last people mentioned lol

[j]minor thing, but i do appreciate the censorship since my mom may see this when I'm reading the document, and she has PTSD with swearing. Just letting you know it's helpful lol

[k]Huh. I honestly just started doing it 'cuz I thought it was funny, but if it's helpful for you, then I'll keep doing it!

[l]especially so, since he was like, what, a week old or something?

[m]I think it was five weeks, but I may be imagining that

[n]Yeah, pretty much. Either way, he was very young (although how exactly age works for the animatronics is completely up in the air.)

[o]so he hadn't destroyed the alley yet, supporting my theory that Bonnie was scrapped early to mid march area

[p]"making progress" maybe?

[q]Solid chance

[r]Do you think the symbols are related to the redacted entries at all? I think the reveals on how the subjects died are excerpts from them, if nothing else

[s]Maybe. I definitely agree on the latter part, I'm not totally sure on the symbols, but as I said in another section, I don't really care about them anymore.

[t]HOLD UP- did we get a last name of Crystal here?

[u]Didn't she mention Dr Morris helping her after something?

[v]Solid idea, but the timeline doesn't match up. The Crystal who adopted Gregory is an adult, old enough to have her life together and live in a small but relatively nice house. Too old to have been still going to daycare ten years ago.

[w]Definitely, just something I noticed. Plus, it's possible that maybe she's on the early years of her adulthood. I just find it funny

[x]Fair, fair. It's *possible* that she's a young adult, but if she was going to *daycare* ten years ago, she'd have to be a VERY young adult. And frankly, too young to own a house imo.

[y]Yeah, just found it interesting since I'm intrigued as to what she had to go to therapy for because I'm emotionally attached lol

[z]Fair enough.

[aa]it might mean attempts to make subject 3

[ab]if that's the right word ofc

[ac]Possible

[ad]actually not true---DID can have 2-alter systems, from my research (for a book I'm writing) because there is no defined number (say a number, it's possible! even hundreds of alters is possible!)

[ae]The more you know! (although this was actually just me saying what Victor believed.)

[af]I'm aware, just adding it to give context to people who are reading

[ag]fRoNtAl LoBe??

(in all seriousness and not a bite of 87 reference, if I had to guess, is the brain in some part, due to the fact that the brain is the source of things like personality. If Sun/Moon were a small child (though I think they'd be around 10-14 area), specifically around 5, which is when the personality is developed (and if trauma is severe enough at this age, DID is developed by the brain creating metaphorical walls in an attempt to DISSOCIATE (thus "dissociative identity disorder) from the trauma) it could be possible that, if they'd had a hard life up to that point (death is pretty traumatizing tho, i'd assume) they could have already has been developing DID, but damage to the brain, more specifically THE FRONTAL LOBE (cause ofc; plus it being the frontal lobe connects Sun/Moon to fnaf lore are yeah) it can cause a major shift in personality.)

so take away: SUN/MOON WAS BITE of 87 VICTIM CONFIRMED?! /j

[ah]why is my useless knowledge paying off with this rewrite lmbo

[ai]Huh. I only understood like half of that (i'm tired lol) but I love how much you know about this stuff.

[aj]maybe they recreated spring-lock suits for PS? maybe that's why Freddy's ridable inside?

[ak]I doubt it.

1) I'm pretty sure Freddy's riding compartment is a relic of when Kiwi was at least pretending to care about not straying too far from canon, when he had the cake-riding compartment.

2) With the exception of maybe Victor and obviously James, everyone used for PS was already dead; Victor never killed anyone himself. So having Springlock Suits doesn't really make sense.

[al]How does the chapter number relate to the character beside it?

ideas:

1. ctrl+f for chapter (unsure how that'd come up anything helpful)

2. maybe some sort of substitution cipher will be in play somewhere, and these help solve it somehow? maybe the "a" of that alphabet will be the first letter in the chapter, or the most common, or the first in the chapter title or something?

3. prev. one falls short with the one with the period (.-31) and the green ones, but maybe the character(s) above the chapter number have to do with a vigenere cipher?

4. what if they're a red herring (i'd cry, that's what)

5. #3 also falls short thanks to .-31, but perhaps it's somehow a number-based cipher?

6. when I was working on the character document, I realized that red/green have a lot of associated meanings---red=bad, green=good, etc.---so could the red ones be from a "bad" character and the green from a "good"? or maybe they're connected in a different way than that.

7. what if there's a color code involved?

[am]I really doubt its #4. Kiwi has said she wants the lore to be more coherent than canon FNAF, and has also directly claimed that they'll be important.

As for the others... Man, I got nothing.

[an]And with new context ("he bit me")

Also, w/ the comment about a mom, would that mean

a.) They were minors/living with their parents (which it's likely was the case for all the victims, all things considered)

b.) They had an argument with their mother (Unsaid Emily vibes tho)

[ao]I think both is honestly quite possible.

[ap]Well, actually, DID is more complex than that. In a two-alter system, unless the Gatekeeper (if there is one) was fronting, they would both remember since the Gatekeeper decides which alters get which memories. Along with this, if there ISN'T a Gatekeeper, there would be no one to "erase" it

[aq]Along with this, it's ALSO possible that, if it was DID, that they might have been a split from the same alter due to the trauma of the event (...your death probably would be kinda traumatizing) or something like that (alters can split (so to speak) if trauma erupts in their life).

[ar]Interesting. I'm thinking DID is increasingly possible, with one annoying caveat: Victor explicitly says that DID with only two alters would be unusual. Which implies to me that Kiwi feels the same.

[as]Or, twist ending, Kiwi might be implying Victor hasn't done his research. I've done it in my stories, it's fun having unreliable narrators! But definitely true abt Kiwi maybe feeling the same

[at]I love the idea of Victor being an unreliable narrator, but personally I'm not keen on directly making theories like that. Anytime your theory is "but what if the info we're given is wrong???" I'm always just like "Well... It could be... But so could all of this. What's the point of the theory?"

You know?

[au]I like making alternatives that account for that stuff personally, but I get what you mean

[av]possible that we're watching as someone going through the files or something

yes this is a meta theory lol

[aw]I don't hate it, although I still lean toward the idea that it was James at least providing that text, due to what it was that "the voice" said in Greg #4

[ax]Agreed, just coming up with alternatives lol

[ay]I'm working on a full document for every character in the rewrite

I have 47 of the 57 (including Devon) kids in chapter 30 so I'm happy rn

[az]Cool! Make sure to send me the link at some point!

[ba]Ofc!

[bb]Could you also send me that link sometime?

[bc]Hey, TMOOE, can you send that link? I need to take a look at some characters in light of the most recent chapter (and also me looking back at earlier ones)

[bd]Hey, so sorry about forgetting! I really didn't mean to, just been really busy! Give me an hour or so and I can send a link (just have to do some work first lol)

[be]Might be done a bit early

[bf]https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OXMI8Y6djvI30-8b_dG5UmP2EA25cdpZma_n7UG9Ro0/edit?usp=sharing

[bg]Thanks!

[bh]Could you look through the one on the SB Rewrite Wiki I made? You're really well-versed in this world, and I'd love more people helping out on the wiki lol (link: https://sb-rewritten.fandom.com/wiki/Timeline)

[bi]_Marked as resolved_

[bj]_Re-opened_

[bk]OK, so: Yes, I would be willing to help out. But I only have so much time in my life. I'm willing to help, but I'm not gonna make any promises about how much I can work on it.

[bl]Oh, yeah, I understand. I just think even a little peak on the occasion would help lol

[bm]Fair enough. I'm good to help every once in a while, but don't expect much or especially soon. As I said in response to your question about Chapters 39 and beyond: I'd love to, but I'm busy.

[bn]If I had to guess: early March

[bo]Eh, possible I guess. Not sure how much evidence we have at all.

[bp]It's because he was alive in January and there's the list of March incident reports

[bq]would it be possible Crystal could be a bit younger than Ruth, who was also mentioned to be a teen mom? just trying to get ages straight in my head lol

[br]I don't think we have all that much evidence either way if I'm being honest. So like... Far as I know it's possible, but I don't think we have reason to believe one way or another.

[bs]What if James's test was semi-successful? Then could it be that he's using the animatronics as a way to get the information, and he's providing it to whoever? What if it's to Gregory, or one of the animatronics?

[bt]I actually really like that! I've been saying ever since Gregory #4 is that James was the one who blocks out the information, so it's not unreasonable that he's also the one who gives it to us.

[bu]And if it was only semi-successful, that could explain the things like "not yet"---because it's not 100% James doing it!

[bv]I had an idea about using ctrl F to see how many times the letters/strings are in a chapter, but I'm not sure. We do know, bc Kiwi said, that the numbers are about the chapter number, so that's something interesting.

[bw]That... That's a pretty solid idea. I'll remember that.

[bx]I checked it a little, a couple things about it on a tab on my characters doc

[by]I was messing around and noticed that the greens ones, backwards, read "HARTED ORGANS", which is a bit odd. Maybe the green ones will be a backwards message? but that leaves the question about how the chapter numbers relate to them.

[bz]Yeah. I'm gonna be honest, I've kinda given up paying attention to these lol. I figure we'll learn them when it's time, and I can pay more attention to the character work later.

[ca]Theory A: The teen who killed herself was trans and that's why Roxy's trans

Theory B: The subject's body was male, but the teen was female, thus trans

[cb]Also the confirmed shared orientations/genders with their human

[cc]Yeah, I think either of those are very valid, and trust me I know, I'm the one who asked about the latter part lol

[cd]just added it because it's support to the theory

[ce]This is coming in clutch as of Gregory chapter 12. We now know why DJ is so massive and having this guide to say which subject is what character helps a lot.

[cf]Glad to help out!

[cg](joke comment)

Bubblegum 2: Electric Gator-oo

[ch]BAHAHAHA

[ci]I hope it's revealed soon I want to know what happened to the bunny!

[cj]Me too!

[ck]Ooh! The tunnels! That could parallel cleithrophobia (the actual fear not the story) and being trapped in places with the deprivation of O2! Of course, it's mentioned that it was through manual strangulation, but that doesn't mean the tunnels being a tight squeeze (and i.e. having less O2) isn't some sort of narrative thing!

[cl]Holy crap that's cool

[cm]This is interesting to me I won't lie. Chekhov's gun moment

[cn]Yeah. All these others are clearly significant, it would be weird if this isn't.

[co]if this is roxy as you suspect, this makes the "Cora doesn't deserve to lose her daughter" feel more impactful, as the daughter in question would have killled herself. Also, the teenager connection you make later on goes back to "cora's daughter" mentioned in the lore

[cp]there is a more updated bonnie design in one of Kiwi's videos; it's on top of the Monty spot in the video

[cq]Where? Can you get me a link and timestamp? (Or is it in your wiki?)

[cr]Kiwi's video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdXIgVWp11M (starts showing it at 0:47)

Also, there is a version on the wiki, but it's trimmed a bit and isn't full body
