Respect in Sport Policy
Purpose of the Policy:
1. Tennis Manitoba is committed to creating a sport environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity. Coaches / teaching professionals have a responsibility to create a sporting environment that is free of harassment and abuse.
2. Tennis Manitoba requires that all coaches / teaching professionals participating in tennis have completed the online Respect in Sport as required by Sport Manitoba.
Scope and Application:
1. The policy applies to all coaches / teaching professionals registered with; or named on an official sport roster; or under the jurisdiction of Tennis Manitoba.
Enforcement:
Non-compliance of this policy may result in further discipline as determined by the Board of Directors or in accordance with Tennis Manitoba’s policy.
Review and Approval:
This policy was approved by the Board of Directors on January 22, 2015, and will be reviewed by the Executive Committee on an annual basis.
