Environmental studies

,has been a joy. In all honesty in all of the visits to Swan lake one thing has stood out to me ,my other favorite being the pollination which will also be discussed, the animals.

I thank the Songhees, esquimalt, west saanich and lkwungen speaking peoples for taking care of the beautiful land that takes care of both me and my loved ones who are appreciative guests here.

-Removing invasive species can help out your local bees

-bees like robust flowers that can hold their weight

-bees like plants that flower during the day!

-Pollenation is a  key ecosystem service/gift. If we had to do all the pollination ourselves, it would cost $235 to 577 Billion USD per season.

- Pollination in winter does occur here are the plants that get pollinated(February, March): Hooker’s willow (shrub/tree),Salmonberry (shrub)

-1/3 of our food comes from pollination examples are apples, blueberries, coffee, chocolate, melons, peaches, potatoes, pumpkins, vanilla, almonds and tequila!

And here is a braiding sweetgrass journal submission. We also did this at swanlake.

I am grateful for my parents as they always make every effort for my comfort and to be kind

I am grateful for my teachers learning is fun now and it goes by at a nice pace the are also just very kind

I am grateful for water for its essential nutrients to both me and other living things
