Appreciating the Natural World

The 50th anniversary of Earth Day is upon us and we are tasked with staying at home to keep our communities healthy. However, the natural world is thriving outside our window. The Recharge the Rain Project* is challenging youth and those that are young at heart to express their appreciation of the natural world through an original work of art. Show us new ways of seeing and appreciating the everyday.  

How to Participate

1. Observe the natural world from your window, yard, driveway while observing safe distancing requirements.
2. Create an original work of art. It could be a drawing, painting, sculpture, photograph, poem, sidewalk chalk art, performance or wherever your imagination takes you.
3. Share your art with a photo or video on social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) with the hashtag #CelebrateEarth2020 and #RechargetheRain.
4. Participation is open throughout 2020, not just during the month of April.
