3rd - 20th June.  Hospital Services Consultation Events across South Powys.  Health Boards across South Wales, including Powys, are now consulting on the future of consultant-led maternity and neonatal care, inpatient children’s and emergency medicine (A&E) services for South Wales and South Powys.  To find out how to have your say go here.

Together for Mental Health - Involving individuals in the National Mental Health Partnership Board to make it effective.  David Crepaz-Keay is leading on work to ensure that people who have used mental health services and those close to them are involved in shaping services at a national level in Wales.  Could you help him develop a new National Service User and Carer Forum?  You can find out more here

Could you become a Cruse Bereavement Support Volunteer? Cruse in Powys Awareness in Bereavement Care course starting in September 2013 –  an accredited training course for volunteers who wish to support those who have suffered bereavement.  More here.

Volunteers Needed.  Cruse Bereavement Care in Powys are seeking a volunteer trustee to take on the role of Chair from July 2013.  They are also seeking volunteers to help with administration, fundraising and other non-client activities.  Interested in becoming involved or want to know more?  Call 01686 610220.

How Fair is Powys? A Year On. Powys County Council and Powys teaching Health Board are holding engagement events across the county looking at equality issues in relation to accessing services and employment. Events open to all with an interest. Newtown: June 25, Llandrindod Wells: July 3 and Brecon: July 12. Find out more here.

Walk On Wales.  On 25 August 2013, there will be a 870 mile Welsh Coast Path Walk to raise £1 million for the Welsh Guards Afghanistan Appeal and Combat Stress. There are 11 teams walking in relay and they are looking for people who might like to join them as we stroll along the stunning Welsh coast.  More here.

Thurs 6th June - How to get a great 'Care and Treatment Plan’ free training.  Hafal, the Mental Health Foundation and Bi-polar UK have developed a training course for adults who use secondary care mental health services and their carers on how to get a great Care and Treatment plan that best meets their needs.  More here.

Self-harm first aid advice.  The British Red Cross have worked with YoungMinds to produce video and Facebook first aid advice on the first actions to take on discovering someone who has taken a harmful substance.  More here
