Outward Mind (Sp)
At 3rd level, a psychic monk may spend 1 ki point in order to cast the following spells as spell-like abilities: Charm Person, Detect Chaos/Evil/Good/Law, Hydraulic Push, and Know Direction. At 6th level, the psychic monk may spend 2 ki points in order to cast the following spells as spell-like abilities: Augury, Calm Emotions, Detect Thoughts, Levitate, and Share Memory. At 9th level, the psychic monk may spend 3 ki points in order to cast the following spells as spell-like abilities: Clairaudience/Clairvoyance, Force Punch, Hostile Levitation, Hydraulic Torrent, Marionette Possession, Seek Thoughts, and Suggestion. A psychic monk’s class level is the caster level for these spell-like abilities, and he uses Wisdom to determine the spell DC and his concentration check bonus. This ability replaces fast movement, maneuver training, and slow fall.

Strong Mind
At 12th level, a psychic monk reduces the ki points required to activate his outward mind abilities by 1. He must still have at least 1 ki point in his ki pool in order to activate those abilities. This ability replaces abundant step.

Empathic Sense
At 15th level, by touching one or more willing creature as a standard action, a psychic monk may establish an empathic link, as per the wizard familiar class feature, for 1 minute per monk level. This duration must be spent in one-minute increments, but it may be divided among any number of creatures touched. If the psychic monk is so linked with a creature when it is reduced to below 0 hit points, he becomes shaken for 1 round. If the creature is killed, the psychic monk becomes staggered for 1 round. A Fortitude save with a DC equal to 10 plus the creature’s HD negates this effect. This ability replaces quivering palm.

Share Thoughts
At 17th level, a psychic monk may cast Telepathic Bond once per day as a spell-like ability. However, when the psychic monk uses this ability, communication is language-dependent. In addition, the psychic monk may not choose to leave himself out of the bond. This ability replaces tongue of the sun and moon.
