An Heuristic Evaluation of SCORE by Shubhro Saha

H2: Match between system and the real world. What is HSPROD? Is it good that my last name is one it? Severity 1

H1: Visibility of system status. SCORE logs you out if you’re dormant for a period of time. Worse, the warning box that pops up is annoying because it takes over control of the active window. Severity 1

H7: flexibility and efficiency of use. SCORE hides some of the most commonly-used functionalities inside a dropdown item. Severity 1

H9: Help users recover from errors. Well, this is a bummer that I don’t have access to my own class schedule at this time. Was it my fault? Will it be available in a few hours? Is there something wrong with my class enrollment that makes my class schedule unavailable at this time? Severity 2

H7: Flexibility and efficiency of use. Why are these functionalities under “Self Service”? Is everything else full service operations? How would I even remotely think to look there if I were looking to fill out my online course evaluations? Severity 1

H6: Recognition rather than recall. These common actions are hardly visible on the main screen. Plus, I wouldn’t think to look for them under “Services”. Isn’t everything a service on SCORE anyway? Severity 1
