“A novel is never anything, but a philosophy put into images” - Albert Camus[1]
Woodworkers sand wood smooth, glue them all, then clamp them tightly together. Over time, the bond it forms is stronger than the wood itself. The clamps you see are called pipe clamps and this glueing process is called lamination. Good writers do this with ideas. The final product is an claim that is beautiful and strong.

a. apply existing knowledge to generate new ideas, products, or processes.
b. create original works as a means of personal or group expression.
Learning Target:
I can create a digital presentation.
Essential Question:
How does technology enhance the process of thinking, learning and creating?
You Will Need:
Three to Four days
Access to the internet
All Unit 6 materials
Activity: Please follow the four (4) steps in order.
STEP 1:
Study the following mini-lessons about Huck Finn. Have your docs handy for any notes you wish to add. These lessons will give more insight into Twain’s campaign to curb racism in the South. Later in this activity, you will be putting it all together.
**NOTE** Realist writers had it hard. They named taboo problems with our society and people’s discomfort resulted in anger. Twain is loved more now that he ever was alive. Now we are accustomed to being more open about our issues.
STEP 2:
Taking into account everything you have learned from this unit, please create a DIGITAL PRESENTATION that persuades your audience to see The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn as more than a kid’s adventure story; a logical and emotional appeal to curb racism.
Criteria for the Digital Presentation:
Assessment: Digital Presentation Rubric
STEP 3:
Submit Assignment for review..
