It was a pleasure to find your remarkable sketch of my dear old mother awaiting me on my return home today, and

When you come home for your exhibition[1] I shall hope to see where you have placed the

big portrait [10020] of the old lady, amongst the brilliant array of your recent work.
That you should have made a picture of her will be an everlasting joy to us.
