Last updated: December 27th, 2018You are obligated to read and abide by these community specific guidelines while interacting with members and posting content. These are subject to change and an announcement will be posted. *The ban appeal form mentioned in these guidelines can be found near the bottom of the amino’s description. |
The staff team only speak English, with the exception of bilingual members (bilingual staff members will help with moderating Spanish content,) so we ask that you chat in public chats and create content in that language. Failure to listen to this rule will result in a warning. If you are warned multiple times, ignoring a staff member’s request for you to speak in English you will receive a strike or ban depending on what the moderation team decides.
It is required by the Amino Terms of Service that you be a specific age. If we do not enforce an age restriction when notified of a member being underaged, the amino is at risk of being deleted by Team Amino. Underaged members will be banned regardless on if they followed the community guidelines or not.
This rule applies to those who create artwork and post it within the amino. Do not post your proof in your post(s) or in public chats. Staff who think you did not create the artwork or are unsure if your truly created it will ask for evidence, whether it be a photo of an object or the screen itself, in a private chat. This is enforced to protect your wonderful work from theft and those who will try to impersonate you. If you cannot provide sufficient evidence your artwork will be disabled. Violating this rule,by stealing artwork, claiming artwork as your own, or not being able to provide proper evidence will result in a strike or ban.
Cursing and swearing are allowed to a certain extent. You may curse so long as it isn’t used in a threatening, derogatory or other activities with malicious intent. All we ask is that you stop cursing or swearing when asked to on specific posts or chat rooms. Members within the community may decide if they will allow you to swear or curse in THEIR chat rooms or posts.
Stealing copyrighted artwork of any kind (2D artwork, 3D sculpts, etc.) will not be tolerated. Upon the discovery of a member committing these acts, they will receive a stern warning depending on the severity of the situation. If this rule is violated more than once, a member will receive a ban or strike. If you are suspected of tracing and are asked to provide proper evidence do as your asked or take a punishment.
This includes being a decent human being when interacting with other members within the community, whether they are an official staff member or a regular member. If you are caught dissing the community or another member in public chats, through posts or within your profile, you may receive a warning. If you continue to disobey this rule or if the case is severe enough, you will be banned or striked on the spot.
If you are suspected of trying to evade your punishment in any way, such as making alternative amino accounts, both accounts and all accounts associated with you will be banned without questions. If you have been falsely accused or think you have been banned by mistake fill out our ban appeal form.
Raiding in this community is defined by one or more users plotting to post explicit content to another community or this community in an attempt to cause a disturbance and to mass flag a community in hopes of getting the amino taken down. We do not tolerate those who are thought to have raiding on their agenda. Those who perform these actions against the community will be banned without question and those planning to publicly raid other communities will be banned or striked on the spot.
This amino is not an advertising amino, therefore unapprove ads from members will be disabled. Due to this being a problem, members who advertise especially through PMs will be banned on the spot. If you would like back into the community, fill out the ban appeal form found in the description of the amino. This rule only applies to anything related to another amino community.
No one likes being stressed out, this rule is so that Dinosaur Planet Amino can remain a peaceful and relaxing hobby for all members. Keep affairs with other communities outside of Dinosaur Planet. What happens in another community (unless you make a public safety announcement) stays in that amino. If you are unsure if your public safety announcement is okay, message a staff member. You can and will be banned if our staff team feels as though you as a member is too much of a disturbance within the community!
The community topic within Dinosaur Planet is not limited to just dinosaurs. Topics relating to evolution (including mutations, genetics, etc.), limited biology, paleontology, prehistory, extinction etc. may also be accepted. However, if content posted strays from these topics or prehistoric life-forms/environments too far, the staff can remove such content. Try to make sure your content relates to prehistoric animals, extinction and evolution in some way!
Spam is annoying and clogs up communities and chatrooms making it a bad experience for those trying to keep up with what’s going on. Spam in this community is defined by, but not limited to, similar or the same content for more than 3 or more posts/messages. We are lenient on spam in chats, however, if it becomes a problem, you will be warned. If someone asks you to stop spamming their chat, do it.
For those who decide that “it’s not written in the rules” and don’t use common sense when interacting within an online community can and will be punished. Do not play games with our staff team and waste our time. Our staff have a right to punish those we see fit in order to maintain order in the community and keep it enjoyable for everyone. You have been warned!
Exchanging them for gems, cash, art, etc. are prohibited. Evosaur “adopts” is also prohibited. Members may use generated images for characters and their wikis or for a reference design (this doesn’t mean you are allowed to trace them.)
These rules affect ALL [public] roleplay chats! These rules were written by Xenosaur, from another amino and has given us permission to put them in our community guidelines. All roleplayers who roleplay in public chats must follow these rules! Original post by Reshyreum can be found here.
All strikes and bans will remain private among the staff and the member(s) in which it is effecting. Those who seek to invade this privacy will receive a warning, strike, or ban depending on how persistent they are AFTER being told of this rule. Members who bring up the topic of a ban/strike will be warned to not speak of it in public.
Users must gain approval from the staff team before creating one of these challenges. Users must be at least level 10 to be considered eligible to create one of these challenges and must pay 200 gems upfront to the staff team (once they have been approved to make the challenge.) The user must also give out small amounts of gems to members who participate (example being 5 gems.) However, if it is your birthday, you may ask the staff and be approved without the gem fees!
Making posts regarding religion, of existing religions such as Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, etc. will be disabled on the spot to avoid arguments and turmoil within the community. Posts regarding serious discussions or propaganda of a country's’ government will also be taken down on the spot to avoid conflict within the community. Posts and chats also regarding sensitive topics such as pedophilia, suicide, self-harm, etc. will also be disabled on the spot.
Custom species ranging from fantasy, realism, sci-fi, etc. must follow these general rules set forth to keep them on topic with the community. There will be sub-sections depending on the genre, the species you are creating will fall under. You may mix more than one genre when making a species! Once you species is complete, you will need a staff member to review the wiki once you have published it!
You MUST EXPLAIN THE WORLD that your original species will be set upon, giving everyone a general idea on how evolutionary paths are affected by said world. Failure to make wikis on fictional worlds and setting will jeopardize your species. You must also involve ONE OR MORE of our community topics with your species (see the “Stay on Topic” rule for information) so that it may be accepted in the community. Below is general things to keep in mind when making a species in this community.
To become a staff member, you will need to wait for our curator applications to open. Once you have been on the team long enough and the current leaders think you are ready, you will be promoted to a leader. Being a curator for a long time does not guarantee a spot as a leader. If you are caught begging for these roles, you will receive a warning. If you continue to persist and break more of our community guidelines, you may receive a strike or ban depending on the severity.
Do not lie or make up a random gem amount to receive services provided by our members. If you are caught taking advantage of this, you will be added to a public gem blacklist. Gems from other aminos will not count on Dinosaur Planet. You must earn gems within OUR amino for them to count. If someone is offering you gems that were not legitimately earned within the Dinosaur Planet amino, please contact a staff member with evidence right away.
If you are caught flagging content that doesn’t break any of our community guidelines, or amino’s official guidelines, after being told not to, you will receive a warning. Ignoring staff messages regarding your warning will result in a strike or ban.
Wikis must include 3-4 sentences on the topic proposed in the wikis. Wikis that do not follow these minimal content rules will be disabled or will receive a comment reminder. For character wikis, you MUST fill out some sort of template, if you are unsure where to get them, visit the “Gathering Knowledge” found on the side panel.
You must have the following for the wikis to be considered a character wiki! Character wikis made BEFORE September 24th, 2018 will be excused.
This can go from being racism or sexist to not allowing others to participate in an event simply because of something they like. Any form of discrimination will not be tolerated in Dinosaur Planet, everyone gets a fair chance at everything here. If you see someone being malicious because of something you like or because of something you are, please contact a moderator right away. Members who discriminate others in any way will receive a strike or ban depending on the severity.
