Dear Mr. Walter,
I have just received your appreciative letter, and am so glad that you like my little souvenir and think it will be useful to you.[1]
I was so pleased that I had the opportunity of being present at your festive evening when you were surrounded by your many illustrious friends. It was certainly a most pleasant and interesting evening, and I am sure one that will be an inspiring memory.
With my best wishes for your future career, and greetings from my wife and myself, looking forward to seeing you soon in our midst.
Yours very sincerely
