  1. Governance

  1. An associated project shall be required to have a publicly available governance document and fiscal budget
  2. For the purpose of this resolution, Publicly available is defined as published via public electronic means. This includes but is not limited to a website, social media page, or other freely available resource for the general public.
  3. The operating governance document is required to have the minimum following information:
  1. How the Associated Project settles disputes
  2. The general governance of the project such as core committee, BDFL etc..
  3. Voting mechanisms (if any)
  1. At the request of the Treasurer a public budget will be made available.
  2. Associated Projects at an Officer’s request will provide a project status update
  1. Fees

  1. All donations to an Associated Projects shall be earmarked for that project.
  2. All donations to an Associated Projects shall incur a 5% charge that shall be earmarked for the United States PostgreSQL general fund for use by the corporation as it sees fit.
  3. Any and all fees incurred by the Associated project shall be paid from the associated project ledger.
  4. The corporation may see fit from time to time to assist an Associated Project financially. This assistance will be from the United States PostgreSQL general fund and not the Associated Project ledger.
  1. Retiring

  1. A project may be considered retired if:
  1. The Authorized Contact can not be contacted for a period of six months.
  2. Notification that the Associated Project is to be retired from the Associated Project's Authorized Contact
  1. The Associated Project's assets shall be managed in the following manner:
  1. If after a period of six months no contact can be made, the associated project will be considered retired and all assets will move from the associated project trust to the corporation for corporation use.
  2. Should the project contact the corporation via an authorized contact after the six month period but before twelve months following the retirement status of the project the project may:
  1. Request a transfer of funds to another 501c3
  2. Request a removal of the retirement status
  1. Termination

  1. An associated project may have its relationship with the Corporation terminated via;
  1. Notification by the Authorized Contact of a Project to the board;
  2. The PgUS Board by resolution decides to terminate the relationship with the project.
  1. Following termination, PgUS will not accept any further money or property for purposes related to that Project. Assets already held will still be subject to the bylaws of the Corporation.
  2. Assets of Terminated Projects will be managed in the following manner:
  1. The terminated Associated project shall have 6 months from the date of termination to determine the allocation or their respective assets.
  2. Should the project exceed this time frame the associated project assets shall move from the associated project trust to the corporation for the corporation use.
  3. Should the project contact the corporation via an authorized contact within the six month time frame following the termination status of the project; the project may:
  1. Request a transfer of funds to another 501c3
  2. Donate the assets to PgUS
  1. An Associated Project that has a Termination of Associated Project status vote pending shall be provided with a 14 days notice of the vote.
  1. Authorized Contacts

  1. An authorized contact is one of:
  1. The current liaison(s)
  2. The steering committee of the project per the published governance document of the project
